Review: Quality Reel for the money! - I've used Penn 330 and 345GTs in the past and wanted reels the same size and features. To me this reel is built as well if not better than my previous Penns. Star drag has spring loaded detents for a solid feel when adjusting. Drag is smooth and easily meets rated specs. Reel crank knob and arm is beefed up and rugged. Gears are oversized as well and so far are holding up just fine. Spool and level guide is solid. The only knock I have is the spool lock lever is not metal and feels like it's light duty compared to the rest of the reel.

I've used Penn 330 and 345GTs in the past and wanted reels the same size and features. To me this reel is built as well if not better than my previous Penns. Star drag has spring loaded detents for a solid feel when adjusting. Drag is smooth and easily meets rated specs. Reel crank knob and arm is beefed up and rugged. Gears are oversized as well and so far are holding up just fine. Spool and level guide is solid. The only knock I have is the spool lock lever is not metal and feels like it's light duty compared to the rest of the reel.
