Perfect fit for my DCS570B Dewalt 20V 7.25" Battery Powered Circular Saw.
LONG STORY SHORT:When looking for a dust collection adapter for my "DEWALT 20V MAX 7-1/4-Inch Circular Saw with Brake, Tool Only, Cordless (DCS570B)" it was really difficult to figure out IF there was even adapter for it. THIS ADAPTER FITS even if it's not listed as one of the saw options in the description. Works great!PROS:-Fits perfectly on my DCS570B circular saw. No issues, gaps, jerry rigging....it was made for this saw as well, it's just not listed as one of them.-Ribbing/Ridges on the back of the port connect great with my Cen-Tec adapter system (as shown in photo). Holds them on tight.-Side port allows for dust to shoot downward instead of backward...if not using dust collection. Making the saw still function as originally designed.CONS:-Figuring out what (IF ANY) dust collection adapter would work with my DeWALT circular saw was a chore. It's not listed as one of the "options" in this description, nor is Dewalt's website helpful in the matter. I had to make an educated guess based on information I'd seen...and it worked out.-I wish there was a little sliding door on the side vent, so you could close it, when you're connected to a dust collection system. Not that it really seems to make a big difference, but it's hard to tell, and would be a nice option. However...any moving parts and pieces are liable to break...which is probably why they didn't bother.CONCLUSION:Buy. Fits perfectly on my DeWALT cordless DCS570B circular saw, and is incredibly effective (with my Cen-Tec system) in greatly reducing the amount of dust in my woodshop.

Fits FlexVolt dcs575
Works great on dcs575 FlexVolt saw. The adapter has an opening for the dust chute so that the chute will still work with out a dust collection vacuum hose fitted on. When I use the hose I like to tape over the chute opening if I'm not using a powerful vac and the dust collection works even better. It would be nice if there were a cover that could be slid open and closed. I mostly use a cordless dewalt vac and that's when I use tape over the opening. Fits on to the saw easily although the drawing in the instructions shows a locating tab and the illustration isn't accurate but it's easy to figure out. Look at the saw port and look at the inside of the plastic parts that fit onto the saw and it explains it's self. There are 2 plastic screws (ph2) that clamp the 2 parts of the adapter together. One of the installation screws is only accessible from the battery port side and is better accessible with an angle drive or a ¼" bit-ratchet but I was able to install mine with a normal screwdriver handle well enough by driving with the bit at an angle in the screw recess and additional pressure into the screw recess. The part is abs plastic and seems durable enough but could be cold welded with acetone if it ever breaks. It comes with an additional lower guard lever which must be installed for the lower guard to work with the adapter as the adapter protrudes enough on the side that it is in the path of the stock guard lever. The guard lever that comes with he adapter looks just like the stock one except has a bend to angle the tab out away from the adapter. and is easy to change out with a t-25 or with a slotted bit screwdriver. The guard levers are stamped steel but are hardened and are very tough. I tried to alter the angle of the one that came with the adapter slightly with pliers but was un-successfull. It could possibly be done with a vise but the angle is fine as is. I hope this is helpful.

Gets much of the dust - good luck connecting a vacuum hose
The dust port was easy to set up and use. The instructions were easy to follow. With the dust port attached, the saw still fits nicely into the bag that comes with it.I made several test cuts using the port with inconclusive results. I can’t say what percent of the dust was vacuumed through the port, but there was definitely dust flying around the cut area. I had placed tape over the side opening, but it was coming off the very bottom of the saw blade, before the teeth take it up into the upper guard and on to the rear vacuum port. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I doubt this will be effective enough to work in a closed garage or basement, which is what I had hoped. There is definitely going to be some dust in the work area.Connecting a vacuum hose deserves a special comment. The only thing I could find that would fit this port is a dust adapter that came with my Bosch palm sander. (If it helps, the Bosch sander is model 1297D, and the adapter is part # VAC002.) That adapter fits perfectly into the Dewalt port (not over the outside), then a 1-1/4” standard shop vac hose goes into the adapter. My biggest complaint is that Dewalt’s own dust ports are not even the same size. I have their miter saw that nothing would fit. Then I got a Dewalt 4-gallon shop vac that happened to include a tool adapter. That fit the miter saw perfectly. But this circular saw dust port is 1/32” larger diameter than the miter saw’s port – just enough that the adapter that fits over the miter saw port will not fit over the circular saw port. Both are Dewalt. Why do they do that?? Even if every last dust particle got sucked up I would still give this a 4-star rating because of the unnecessarily complicated hose connection.

Worked great
Does a decent job keeping sawdust at bay. Doesn’t catch everything with the open circular saw as you’d expect. Fitment was great on my dewalt saw. Vacuum hose fits right up to it as well.
