Arrived carefully packed. Wanted this for a NYT recipe, and it was perfect. If you don't know what preserved lemons taste like, don't order this thinking it's something to spread on toast! It is salty and tart and kicks up a sauce very nicely.

I had been getting locally-made preserved lemons, but the company was sadly destroyed in Hurricane Helene. I tried a few other products (the ones that are whole or half lemons). I gave this one a try because the reviews were good - THIS is now my favorite. The puree is far more economical and the taste is more concentrated. It has all the bitter saltiness I crave without the unpleasant bitter aftertaste. It is perfect in, well, everything: salads, soups, sautéed vegetables, meat marinades, dips, sauces . . . everything. And it is easier to use than the whole lemon products.

Absolutely horrible taste. Ruined my tagine. Tastes like chemicals. Disgusting.

Ordering more! This product is becoming a pantry staple at our house. Add it to salad dressings. Can't wait to mix it with chopped sage and some butter and put the mixture under the skin of a chicken before popping it in the oven. Yum! I've tried other brands and they were just bitter, bitter, and salty. This has the perfect texture, tang, and lemon flavor with just a hit of bitter-ish sharpness. It holds up well mixed with other ingredients. I use it every day with my sardines...of which I'm not a huge fan...but these chopped preserved lemons and a few grinds of black pepper make the sardines a pleasure to eat and actually enjoy.

This was my first jar of preserved lemons; I was trying a recipe in my newly-purchased tagine, of chicken and merguez sausages, and it called for preserved lemon peel. The dish was wonderful, very aromatic, full of exotic spices, and the peel added just the zest the dish needed. I’m pleased and will use it in other North African dishes.

Last time i bought these the lemons were a fresh bright yellow color, which is y i purchased them again. This time they look like they are old. Definitely a drop in quality.

Excellent natural preserved lemons for those on Mediterranean diet. It’s great value for the money. The color is excellent. I tried making which didn’t match this excellent presentation.
