Amazing mic.
The quality is top notch, really nice heavy weight to the mic. Just a word of advice, if you have any of the focusrite scarlett interfaces, don't get this microphone. The preamp gain is too low.

It's a Beautiful Microphone
It really is a beautiful thing.. Solid feel, beautifully made and the performance is second to none. It does NOT require 48V power so don't power it - I think it would somehow ruin it f you do - It comes with a holder that screws into a mic holder. Of course you need to be very close to it for it to pick up your voice or instrument - that's the nature of cardioid mirophones - I would recommend you seriously consider this excellent microphone from a quality and renowned manufacturer.

Lives up to expectations
Bought to join my collection of SM58s, 58 Betas and a couple of 55s. Which are utterly reliable and predictable. My only instrument mics were either condensers or a rag bag collection including SM57 copies. So far this does precisely what is expected of it but with CV19 it hasn't been used as much as it will be in the future, it makes a good general purpose microphone and I shall shortly be trying it out with a FetHead and running the combination with phantom power to see what it can really do! At the very least it will overcome the less than stellar performanced of the pre-amps in some of my older equipment but I am hoping for more!

Amazing for recording guitar
I've been using this to record my guitar from my Marshall amp. I'm not the best at this sort of stuff, but it's been cool to start learning - and it's definitely doing the job more than nicely! :) Amazing mic for recording guitar cabs & amps!

DO NOT UNSCREW THE TOP.
Amazing sound but a curious brother unscrewed the top and it snapped a wire. Take care of it.Again, brilliant sound quality!!! Think I will get the SM58 next as I use it for vocals and had to use a pop filter to stop the poppin'

Good Mic!
Never owned one before but I can see why they are industry standard. Using it in my home studio to mic my Peavy amp. The sound I get from my amp is the sound I get through my monitors, very precise. Well pleased!
