perfect multi-purpose health pot for chinese medicine and western teas
UPDATE: I've been using this pot almost daily for over a month now. I love still love it. I make 3-4 cups every morning for work to pour into my thermos. I'm expecting a shipment of dried ingredients for Chinese medicinal soup to arrive today so I can try the soup function. MY OPINION: i really love this Aroma 16-in-1 Health Pot. it's well-made, easy to use, and the preset functions make brewing traditional teas and herbal infusions convenient. plus, it's nice to look at. it's built for convenience and multi-use, and it 100% follows through. REASONABLE EXPECTATIONS: if you are looking for a high-end, fancy health pot or kettle, you will not find it in this price range. the presets are generalized rather than ultrafine temperature-engineering for delicate leaves. unlike more expensive health pots, it's NOT going to hold exact temperatures for hours with very little fluctuation. this is a mid-range, great value for households who want a single cooker for lots of uses. not a luxury piece aimed at tea enthusiasts. PRO TIP: it's best not to put tea directly into the pot. always use the tea strainer, as tea leaves can discolor the bottom of the pot as they're heated. always rinse the kettle and it's removable components after use. do not let the used water sit for hours. keep the lid off until the pot is dried. but also do NOT rinse immediately with cold water, as cold may crack and shatter hot glass due to the drastic temp change. if your tea has fine leaves, some will escape through the strainer, so it's best to use a tea bag for these those teas Or pour through a fine mesh strainer instead of pouring directly into your cup. for teas with leaves that drastically expand as they soak, it is best to use a tea bag and hang it from the lid unless you are filling the pot with more than 4 cups of water, as you may find that the leaves do not fully submerge and soak in the strainer. for best tasting tea and upkeep of the pot, it's advised to use filtered water, as minerals/additives and pipe residue from your public water and your faucets can affect the taste of the tea and create build-up in the pot. NEW USERS: the instructions in the booklet may be unintentionally misleading to users who are new to this style of pot, or teas in general. this device is for chinese medicine. when the booklet tells you to boil your tea using the preset settings (like “herbal tea” or “flower tea”), it's referring to traditional chinese or medicinal teas made from dried roots, flowers, or whole herbs. those ingredients are meant to be simmered at high temperatures for a long time to extract their nutrients and flavors. if you’re using western-style tea blends or delicate loose-leaf teas (like green, white, or fruit blends), following those instructions will actually overbrew them and ruin the flavor. those teas should be steeped, not boiled, for a few minutes rather than continuously boiled for 30-40 minutes. once you understand the difference, this pot is incredibly versatile. great for traditional herbal decoctions, soups, and even warming drinks.

Five stars, buy it, worth every penny, best tea kettle hands down
OMG! Oh my God! I love my pink tea pot with the infuser. This is the BEST $60! I have EVER spent. This is for serious herbal tea makers not for commercial tea drinkers. Okay boom, herbal tea, takes an hour to boil on the stove, then you have to let it cool, strain, then reheat to consume with little leaves and bark pieces stuck in your tea? Never again! I love my tea pot. It has all these different legit settings. 40 minutes and auto shut off for herbal tea. The infuser is so well made, no loose tea leaking through, the water gets so hot so quickly. Boiling begins in 2-3 minutes, no exaggeration. There is a warm feature, will keep your tea warm through out the day. I drink clove and pau d arco and Black walnut bark. This pot literally sucks all the herbal goodness out those leaves! Tea is rich and black with antioxidants. The pot is so great. I make batches of tea at work to take home at night, I can leave the pot boiling and go to a meeting with complete faith in this device. No fear. It is sleek, top of the line quality. The detachable but sturdy parts make clean up a dream. Remembering not to immerse base in water takes a little getting used to but I treat this pot like a newborn baby because it is so great. The aromatic flavors when making the team are intoxicating. There is a button for fruit tea, I have put fresh orange slices in with cloves. Unbelievable. There is an extra cup for stew and desert but I value my tea pot too much to put food in it. This pot is worth it. The swivel base for picking up the pot hassle free. The rectangular base is so space friendly and aesthetically contemporary. People compliment my pot all the time. I just love it. I really do. I never write amazon reviews but this was so worth it. I wasn't sure if $60 was worth it for an electrical kettle but this is top of the line. Thank you amazon. I'm in love. Having that superior quality cup of tea is the highlight of my DAY!

Bad quality product
I used the pot for brewing the tea and cooking the Chinese dessert. it was easy to use but the glass pot was cracked after 7-month use. Not impressed with the quality and definitely not worth the price!

What I like about this kettle is that it doesn't make much noise when boiling water. I've had some kettles that make so much noise it can't be used at night or it'll wake up people in my house. Not a problem with this kettle though. Another thing is this kettle can be used to make so many different types of drinks and desserts. You can put ginseng or tea directly in the kettle and boil with water. This kettle is easy to use, easy to clean, and has lots of functions. Would recommend.

Burnt our tea when used in tea setting for some reason. Also felt very plastic and cheap for such an expensive product.

I am happy with this purchase. I was eyeing on Buydeem tea maker, but that was too expensive for me. I found this one is $100 cheaper and has the same function. I was worried about the quality of the tea maker since it is a lot cheaper, howeever, it didn't disappointment me. I have tried most of the function to make tea, make soup and bird nest. It is working super good. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

I do like the kettle. However, the lid has broken twice already and I've had it less than 3 months. First time it broke, I emailed the manufacturer for a bit and finally they asked me to send them proof of purchase and told me they're based in U.S. so Amazon would have to help me out, they can't send parts to Canada. I was within the 1 mo th refund period so I returned the kettle to Amazon and bought a new one. The lid on the new kettle broke again but differently. First time the white removable part wouldn't click back onto the bigger part of the lid. This time the very top part came off and can't be snapped back on. It's deformed maybe from the heat of the kettle. But I'm already passed the return date and the manufacturer doesn't ship out of the U.S. You would think a product like this would have warranty. It DOESN'T. So save your money and buy this from a store or brand that would actually help you when something goes wrong.
