This is an excellent hair straightener. I have gently curly, but pretty frizzy hair, and I live in a humid and hot environment for about 6 months out of year. I think this is possibly the best straightener I have ever used. It does not leave oily residue that makes your hair feel greasy. I really really love it, and am so GRATEFUL for it. It is a little pricey, but it does last a few months when used once a day.

My hair dresser turned me on to this product and I’ve loved it ever since. After a blow out, i notice my hair is still soft and I have little frizz. I have naturally wavy, curly hair so frizz can be hard to tame. I have long, thick hair and thankfully a little goes a long way with this product. It’s worth the money. I apply it to damp hair and blow dry OR dry hair and put up into a heartless curl for the night (as seen in photo). Paired with the smooth again shampoo and conditioner is great. And I always sleep in a bonnet!!!!!

I'm just going through my first ever bottle of Kevin Murphy's Smooth Again hair cream. I've been a longtime user of his Angel Soft shampoo and conditioner, have even used the hair spray, but this cream seems to really make a difference in my hair's texture, shine and appearance. I put on a small, pea-sized dot of the cream and work it into my VERY THIN, FINE hair. I may not have a lot of hair, but that's why it's even more important to keep it tamed and not fly-away FRIZZ. I put this on towel-dried hair, blow it dry, then finish with hair spray. PERFECT! I can sleep on that hair, get up, do my 100 daily brushstrokes and my hair looks tolerable for another day with no shower even. My husband has very coarse, wavy hair, and LOTS of it. The cream also keeps his hair satiny-soft and manageable. Very glad I stumbled across this product.

I love kevin Murphy products—I use young again wash and rinse and restore treatment regularly. But this one is the one worth writing a review about. I have long coarse wavy hair that has been cut to curl, and this product is absolutely perfect for my air-dry routine, giving soft bouncy curls and waves. Amazing.

My husband uses this and goes bonkers if he runs out! So I’d say it’s a highly sought after item. Makes hair soft , and tames his curls!

however, the pump bottle doesnt pump! I removed the plastic clamp and have turned the spout to all sides to no avail. I can use the product by lifting out the pump assembly but I'd like to have a regular screw cap to close it up tight. Any advice?

Kevin Murphy Haarpflegeprodukte kann man eigentlich blind kaufen, da man immer beste Qualität bekommt. Neu im Sortiment ist die Smooth Again Paste, die vor allem für trockene und wellige Haare sein soll. Weicher und glatter sollen die Haare durch den Gebrauch werden, zudem soll das Haaar stärker glänzen und sogar Schädigungen sollen repariert werden. Von Kaffeekochen steht zwar nichts in der Beschreibung, aber man kann offenbar keinen positiven Effekt ausschließen. Zumal das Kaffeekochen den Preis von knapp 40 Euro erklären würde. Verschiedene Inhaltsstoffe wie grüner Tee, Lotusblütenextrakt und Affenbrotbaumkernöl (?!?) sollen gemeinsam für die Wirkung und den Effekt sorgen. Ich war sehr gespannt und habe mich nach einigem Zögern doch überwunden, den Preis zu investieren. Neugierde schlägt Vernunft. Das Produkt wird in einem Pumpspender mit 200 ml Inhalt geliefert. Die Lotion wird nach dem Haarewaschen in handtuchtrockenes Haar aufgetragen. Man darf dabei nicht zu viel nehmen, da das Haar sonst überpflegt wirkt und auch irgendwie leicht schmierig. Ein sparsamer Gebrauch ist aber nicht nur für das Ergebnis wichtig, es schont auch den Geldbeutel, bei diesem Preis durchaus wichtig. Die Wirkung ist wie erhofft und tatsächlich sehr positiv. Bei richtiger Dosierung wird das Haar schön weich und dadurch auch sehr gut kämm- oder formbar. Es fühlt sich insgesamt toll an. Mein störrisches Stroh wird zu Engelhaar. Naja, jedenfalls fast. Insgesamt fünf Sterne. Fazit: Wer bereit ist, so viel Geld für ein Haarpflegemittel auszugeben, erhält tatsächlich ein klasse Produkt. Auch im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Produkten anderer hochpreisiger Hersteller wie American Crew, Goldwell oder KMS ist der Effekt mindestens so gut, wenn nicht besser. Falls sich der Effekt mit der Zeit nicht abschwächt, werde ich das Produkt mit Sicherheit nachbestellen.

The only product my husband is using as would not travel without it. Really great, very mild smell, adds a bit of weight, no shine, he is on 3rd or 4th bottle. They last a long time, couple of months if used daily
