Iv got over 400 likes on my reviews, I'm definitely real. I also do vine. So far this items functions great, yes it is extremely light weight and probably a bit fragile, but right out of the box so far I'm impressed with it at the price point. It is effective for being nosey about what the neighbor's are talking about all damn night, for detecting mice in a place where there should be no movements, and for listening to bird calls. I'm not certain how long it will work, but when it is working it works well. I will update this when I finally break it. Start 9/29/25...still working so far! 10/12/25 the dish has a little crack in it specifically because I mistreated it. The crack wants to run but I put a drop of superglue to keep it from spreading. I also removed the telescope part because it can rattle, and I put a couple loops of tape around the batter to make it fit more snug to eliminate rattling. By fixing those shortcomings I now have a truly excellent listening device. It's l incredibly effective. Well with the price point. I highly advise getting this if you want an unfair advantage in hearing. 11-27-25 after 2 months of rough treatment it is finally done for. I have superglued the dish back together so much I can't do it anymore. Mostly because I tended to break it. If I had treated it as fragile I wouldn't have that problem but I would do things like Toss it into the couch from the doorway and stuff so the dish is on me. I did have some trouble with the headphone jack that wasn't my fault, the little contact points inside the hole where the headphones plug in got loose and would get a finicky connection, but I used a sewing needle to reach in and unstraighten the little metal contact points so they gripped it well again. All in all I feel I got my money's worth and it would have lasted much longer had I took care of it. Id buy it again.

Initially purchased for use during paranormal investigations, I have found that I spend more time listening to the digestion of my teammates more than anything else. Turns out most demonic activity is a combination of lactose intolerance and junk food. While not really a true parabolic mic, the unit does amplify sounds in a way that is interesting to observe. The recording function is practically useless and there's nothing directional about the mic at all, but if you want to hear a mouse fart from across the room in real time, this will do it. The reality is that the small mic simply has a gain booster built in making things sound bigger than they are. Everything else about it is a toy for looks. Provided there are no solid obstructions you could listen to your spouse, Linda, set up a secret meet up with her lover from across the house. Then you can follow them and find out the truth that she's been sleeping with your boss. Incomparable to other products, as nobody sells a parabolic mic in this price range. Way to corner the market China. The headphones it comes with, while cheap are surprisingly comfortable. The over ear design with faux leather earcups give the illusion of professionalism when using in front of a client. The combo of equipment alone is worth the price of amusement and possibly a messy divorce.

I needed a directional microphone with high gain. I use this to listen for my golf disc trackers, that are otherwise very hard to hear. The trackers are affixed to the underside of my discs (Frisbees). The trackers use Bluetooth from a phone to find the disc. When in Bluetooth range (maybe 50 feet or so) the disc tracker starts beeping, but Is very difficult to hear. So I may be standing in waste high weeds trying to hear this faint beeping sound within a 50 foot circumference. I’ve spent hours trying to listen and find my discs this way. This directional microphone allows me to pinpoint the sound within a few seconds! I have the gain on maximum. I don’t need the recording feature or the visual scope. It doesn’t matter that there is some white noise with the gain turned up. All I care about is is amplifying the sound and knowing exactly where it’s coming from. This works incredibly well for my needs. I can hear birds at a long distance. The construction is durable plastic and the unit is very light weight. It came with a battery. It’s very easy to assemble. It powers on when you pull the trigger and back off when the trigger is released. I love this directional microphone! Amazing quality for the price!

Although this is marketed as a children’s toy, the HAUSBELL Parabolic Listening Device is surprisingly effective for nature observation. It works best in quiet, remote areas away from traffic and city noise. While using it in the bush, I could clearly hear twigs snapping from animals moving through the forest, and I was even lucky enough to hear an owl. Used in nature, hunting for big foot, and paranormal activity, where its ability to pick up distant and subtle sounds was especially useful. The device does need to be handled carefully. The plastic piece that fits onto the unit is somewhat fragile and could break easily if not treated gently. I also noticed that the headphone jack can become loose over time, which may affect sound unless the plug is positioned just right. And using a different pair of headphones than the ones included improved the listening experience. Overall, this is a fun and functional listening tool when used in the right environment and handled with care.

This was a gift for my ten-year old grandson, who upon opening it was excited, intrigued, and began experimenting with it. I am very pleased with the device and its value for a young man who likesmto discover and explore new things.

It heightens the sound of the room you're in. So if someone whispers in the same room, you can hear them. If they are in another room with for closed, it doesn't really work. Good for kids to play with, but definitely not a device to use if you need to hear people far away or in other locations.
