FINALLY THE PERFECT IRON! with arthritic hands and fibro i am ...
FINALLY THE PERFECT IRON! with arthritic hands and fibro i am certainly limited to the kind of hand work and wrist movement that i can do. but this is light weight, super easy to use and i was so over the lift up and put down on the base when not using ... i was floored with myself. you too can get over this ironing practice. just invest in yourself by investing in this! i spent hours researching on line about all the different irons out there ... as I sew and quilt and need a good working iron that doesn't drip, leak, spit out water and wreck my work. i watch all of those sewing and quilting shows on PBS and they all have hard working and featured irons. after going over and over it ... i saw this one online and on sale. i committed to this. it is light weight and works hard. it is easy to fill the water tank with the enclosed water spouted plastic jar and it holds a ton of water. a few trips back and forth to the sink thank you! and the controls are not in the way as many people posted. that was what stopped me from buying it. but i guess my ironing style is one that doesn't hold it up front but rather on the softish handle in the middle. LOVE the little feet that know when to let down and go up. I could not be happier. I think that anyone who buys this would be thrilled to death! it was a slight investment for me to buy an iron that wasn't in the usual 20 -30$ range. This was so worth it! Do it! I promise you! You will never think of ironing as the chore it use to be. It is a wonderful smart machine!

Finally, THE BEST iron!
Here is what my wife says about our new Oliso Iron:Finally, someone updated the old iron! Do you remember when you first learned how to iron, and how inconvenient it was to learn to put the iron up on its end when you turned the fabric to iron more? With this Oliso, you no longer have to do that, as it has 3 feet that automatically come out of the bottom of the iron when you set it down on the faceplate and let go of the handle. Yes, the handle has sensors! This takes a little while to learn if you have been ironing the old-fashioned way with other irons, but once you do, it makes ironing such fun!Other great features of this updated iron:1) the controls are on top of the handle, not under, so the dial can clearly be read.2) heats up very quickly.3) has a large water reservoir, easy to fill.4) an on/off switch on the base of the iron in case you decide you do want to iron the old-fashioned way.5) very good steam feature.6) comes in wonderful colors like sky blue or bright yellow and more!My only word of caution: If you also use another iron - vacation house, sewing room, dorm room - replace that one with an Oliso, too. Because once you learn how to iron with an Oliso, you will forget to iron the old way and you'll leave the old iron down (oops!) - and besides, you will be used to having an iron with personality!

Say It's So Oliso...Everyone Needs Proper Nutrition Including Iron From Belagio Enterprises.
My wife loves "her" iron. I'm sure you have noticed that I emphasize the iron as hers because I was told that "her" iron will only be used for quilting & crafting & not laundry chores since we already had another iron designated for that task. The iron works flawlessly & I really like the features especially when the iron raises up & you can walk away. Mind you this took me awhile to get use to because I'm use to setting an iron upright when you move the apparel around or have finished your duties. Old habits die hard & I can't tell you how many times she caught me trying to leave "her" iron in an upright position. I thought that when you retired you made it to Easy Street but someone forgot to tell me that my wife owns Easy Street like a monopoly board game & I manage to end up in the pokey. Get out of jail free card? You've got to be kidding! In all seriousness though, the iron is fantastic & an excellent buy for the price I purchased it for. My wife has continually used "her" iron for all the projects that are ongoing & I haven't heard any complaints about the iron only praises. Thank you for a wonderful product.

Love it!
After much reading, I picked the Oliso TG 1050 1600 watt iron to replace my aging Black and Decker. This iron is amazing and actually fun to use. I do alot of sewing and I am really enjoying my new iron. It is very smartly designed.Pro's: long cordfast heat upaccessible water tank, fills easily, visible water levellove the feet feature, It's so nice to manipulate my fabrics while I iron. All I do is let go ofthe handle, I dont have to move the iron or tip it up, and its always ready to go as it heats upvery fast.Love the strong hot burst of steam (I use alot of steam, and have had no problems. Perhaps theother reviews with the spitting, dripping water were from an overfilled tank?)Con's: none.. I have small hands and the handle felt a little thick at first, but got used to it very quickly. I dont even notice it anymore.

Great Iron! Especially for cat owners, quilters and....husbands!
I've had my current Oliso (Oliso TG1050) now for over 2 years and it is still going strong. It is used daily for regualr ironing (by my hubby who actually likes to iron!) and by me for my quilting. I also still have two other earlier Oliso irons. One is at least 7 years old and the other over 5 years old (now used by my college aged daughter). All three continue to work fine.I do take care of my irons though, and follow the manufacturer's cleaning directions to reverse the mineral build up that results from using tap water - actually we only use bottled water and perhaps that lengthens the life of my irons. One other thing that we've done is to plug the iron into a surge protector, then use the surge protector's "on-off" switch to turn it on or off.The ITouch function and scorchguard lifts are the bomb! So much easier on my wrist and hand who've met Mr. Arthur Itis - and so much safer for our cats who like to jump up on the ironing board. I like this iron so much, that I'm buying a few to store just in case it's no longer made. Sort of like that favorite bra or panties....when you find something you love, buy bunches more. :0)
