Quality pail pump
Pump easily transfers 85w140 gear lubricant and 5’ hose makes it easy to pump lubricant from beside vehicle.

great for mixing gas
Purchased this to put in a 5 gallon container of oil to make mixed gas as we go through a ton of it. this unit is certainly on the higher quality side. The pump works great and has three easy lever adjustments for different viscosity fluids.

A 'must have' item for your shop
I have a couple tractors that require the use of 5 gallon buckets of fluids at a time. If you work by yourself like I do, picking up a bucket that size full of fluid and slowly dumping into a funnel is a real chore and can be a mess. Bought this lever action bucket pump which made this so darn easy. The cover plate you see (blue) does not 'seal' flush against the bucket top which I thought would be an issue. Not at all. The cover has three bolts that you just tighten by hand to the upper rim of the bucket, stays put, no mess and pump away. Priming the pump was nothing at all and I cleared out the buckets in no time. What a complete time saver. Oh, and the small lip at the bottom of the pump leaves a very very small amount in the bucket. Very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend.

Does a great job, no drama, easy to use and very well built.
This pump works great, no leaks, spills, drips, etc........very well made, best pump of this type I've ever used. I pumped 10 gallons of hydraulic fluid into my tractor in about 25 minutes taking my time. It pumps this fluid at about 3 oz per pump or close to 200 strokes for a 5 gallon bucket. Great can't say enough about the smooth and effortless operation and it moves the fluid right now with no mess at all. Tips: when putting the pump together put thread lock or some sealer where the small tube for mounting the hose screws into the pump body to ensure no leaks at that point, also ditch the clip for the hose and use a regular hose clamp there. Finally don't forget to remove the black plastic cover from the end of the pump before using (duh). I used the middle hole on the handle for the Valvoline VV 813 fluid I was pumping a similar fluid to Kubota UDT. Cheers ! You will like this pump !

Great pump for thick fluids
I use this for 90w gear oil. Pumps it like a champ. Some reviews complain about leakage.. check the packing/shaft seal on the base of the piston (mine was a little loose) this nut should be snug but not too tight. I alos used a small amount of thread dope on the output nipple. No leaks of any kind. This is a better pump than the cheaper copies. Only very minor gripe is there was no plug supplied for the vent hole in lid. I will find a little bolt that fits to keep any dirt or contaminates out when not using pump.

Pumps gear oil great even in the cold
We had to replace our diff fluid in our pay loader. Each holds 2.5 galllons so filling with those 1 qt bottles would take forever and be a pain. We have purchased OTC stuff before to replace sleeves in a diesel so we bought this instead similiar brands featured on amazon. It looks like the other ones but is way better quality. For example I was able to adjust the lever to get more force when pumping heavy gear oil.Only problem we had was it pumps so hard and fast that the wire hose clamp that came with it allowed the hose to blow off. We replaced it with a ~1" screw type hose clamp and pumped away, Took less than 3 minutes to fill each diff with 80w-90 plus 20% lucas additive at 10 degrees.Do no buy a bucket pump they are crap and pump so little they are worthless. We threw them away and will only use this.

Pumped-Up!
I own a commercial bakery, we purchase certain cleaning products in 5-gallon buckets (tremendous savings) and dispense them as needed. These pumps work quite well (laundry soap, dish soap) but there are a few drawbacks. I'd like to see the manufacturer incorporate stainless-steel to some of the components, especially those exposed to the harsh and highly corrosive materials being pumped. We have to take due diligence to make sure everything is wiped-down, as we notice some corrosion happening. Other than that, they're easy to install and operate.

Leaks at hose crimp
Well, I'm not the first with this issue as I read that someone else with the same problem. This pump has a crimped ferrule on the hose / fill nozzle connection which must not be crimped tight enough and allows whatever material you're pumping to leak out at this point. I didn't notice it while actually pumping material, it became apparent after I hung the nozzle into it's storage position, which is a punched hole in the lid in to insert the nozzle into. The next day I noticed a puddle of oil on the floor which had run down the hose from the connection.I will cut of the crimp connection and replace it with a hose clamp. Other than that is seams to function well.

Reliable pumping for rustproofing fluid
I have been using this pump for the past few years to help me out filling my rustproofing gun reservoir. I solely pumped some rustproofing solution, not any other oils or fluids with it. It’s almost like pumping liquified grease if i could describe the texture of this rustproofing product(Protec5000). I haven’t have any issues pumping this type of fluid with this pump. It doesnt leak and there is no blockages of any kind. My guess is that this kind of hand pump isn’t designed for any kind of engine oils. These oils will simply leak because the tolerances of this design of pump are not tight enough for oils. The pump can be dismantled easily and cleaned after every rustproofing seasons. I simply pump some Varsol until i am satisfied with the results. I can only recommend it for all rustproofing people out there reading this review.

Junk. Pumps up then fluid runs back into bucket ...
Junk. Pumps up then fluid runs back into bucket. Supposed to deliver 4.6 oz per pump but pumps less than an oz.
