Sturdy and good value.
I wanted a drill press for some time and this seemed to fit the bill nicely. Not the cheapest available but was good value for the performance. Previous reviews had mentioned some 'faults' but I still bought it .I can now address these. 1, 'Assembly instructions not great.' Probably could be better but if you can't assemble this drill with the supplied info, maybe you shouldn't have a power tool. It is easy to put together. 2, 'Table doesn't have a central hole as shown in the ad. This is a valid point , but all you need to put this right is a drill (you have just bought one) and some drill bits (if you haven't got ant why buy a drill press?) 3, 'Drill stops as soon as it starts to bite in the workpiece.' This sounds like a loose drive belt as mine happily drilled through a thick piece of cast iron. The belt tension is adjustable which is needed when changing speeds. Just loosen the 2 wing nuts, move the motor back on the slide rods until the belt is tight and then re-tighten the wing nuts. 4, 'chuck is mounted on a taper and drops out of the drill,' I had no problem with this but then I have a number of tools with this type of fitting. The way to fit the chuck is to put the chuck key in the chuck ( to act as a handle), hold the drive pulley with one hand (unplug the drill before doing this), with the other hand push the chuck taper into the socket and twist it as you reach the end, as if it was a screw. You should find the chuck will quickly bind in the socket and be firmly fixed in place. all in all this is not a 'professional' drill press but it is a fraction of the price of one.

Good value, for the money,
I've had this a week now, and so far I am impressed, I have to say that it is a Chinese mass produced machine, and a little bit rough around the edges, but I have spent a few hours tweaking and now have a bench drill press that I can happily work with, the same machine is more than £20 more expensive on ebay,The 550 watt motor is strong enough, and the 16mm chuck is beefy certainly beats mucking about with a 13mm chuck, the first thing I did was drill a 16mm hole in the centre of the table, as there isn't one there and it will stop me damaging wood bits.Overall, I'm pleased with it, and can see it lasting me out.

Solid piece of Bench drill for home DIY needs.
Comparatively good price for a drill of this power. Well constructed. Assembly was easy even though the instructions were poor. Comes with a small vice. You will need C-clamps to hold your wood or vice in place as no bolts to lock them on swivel table. Also the depth of drill is something you need to consider depending on the wood you want to drill. So make sure you have all the right length drills for your work. Accuracy is good. Don't expect precision quality. It is good for what you might need to do as a home DIY. Delivery was very quick even in C19 times. The only constructive suggestion to the seller is to improve the packing - It is very flimsy for heavy unit like this one and anyone can drop and damage easily.

Overall vfm and fit for purpose.
I like it’s robustness: apart from the ‘safety’ screen. Assembly was difficult: instruction sparse. I had already fitted the Chuck before realising what the red plastic and clear plastic was. I had not seen a picture of it while assembling it. This means the ‘safety’ screen is not fitted. My mistake for not googling it first. My work- around is to wear a face guard which I feel is more safe.

Has issues
Its ok but the chuck is a PITA , best putting a decent keyless chuck on it.The speed charts are not correct, the slowest should be 400 rpm, i was getting around 280. The other speeds are closer though. It is what it is, if you want very accurate/ precision you should look elsewhere but for general use it suits me.

A must have for my DIY shed.
The Chuck bearing is true and the laser sight device is really useful and drilling true vertical holes is a breeze.Delivered in good time at a competitive price.Very satisfied.

Very Good Value
This drill is great value for money. You get a 3 to 16mm chuck that is unusual at this price point and a cranked platform. Again not that common. I did have some issues, the Chuck was faulty (Very rough opening closing down to 3mm) and the cranked table is not all that smooth. There is also no central hole in the platform (Unlike the phots that show a hole!) No big deal and the seller sorted out my issues quickly. Overall very well built, solid cast iron chassis and typical drive belt system that seems to work well. Perfect for home /shed/workshop.

Powerful but not totally precise
This is not a real precision drill because the bearings above the chuck have a little play allowing the drill to move very slightly to one side when drilling, but for my purposes ( home wksp), it’s fine. Much more powerful than I expected and easy to adjust the speed
