No scorer. They will not cut on a true curve. You’d have to trace the curve on the tile and “chip” to the line and the gently around curve. It will of course not be a smooth curve but somewhat jagged and sharpe. So you would want to hide cuts under the toilet, not left visible around it.

Will these work on porcelain dishes (using old plates for a mosaic project) and pool tiles? I am a newbie....

Yes, I used them on plates and tiles. The pliers are strong and work great, I made a very nice mosaic with them.

Could I use these to cut a 1 inch square tile perfectly in half?

Yes. It will allow almost three quarters of an inch max. So half inch cuts are easy. As well as smaller cuts.
