Holds 100ft heavy duty hose
There is no way this will hold 175ft hose, unless maybe it's a really really low quality hose. I have a 100ft heavy duty hose in it, and it just barely fits. The pegs to hold it in the ground are a joke, so you do have to hold the unit in place when you roll/unroll the hose. Other than that the quality is fine.

I love this!
Oh my gosh, so when I say I love this thing, I absolutely love this thing I was reading reviews and I was like doubting myself because everyone saying that it breaks easily and that it doesn’t work again that you know don’t buy it. I brought it back like I’m glad I bought it because I haven’t had no problems with it and it’s very easy, I bought it for my flowers for in the front of my house and again the size is amazing. I’ve had no problem with it breaking on me and it looks really good and the price point was amazing. I looked at some other ones and there was other ones that were over $100 and I paid I think around 50ish. I did see that it was going to take like 20 days to get here too and it actually came like maybe a week so that was awesome too. That kind of threw me off saying do I wanna wait this long but again it was amazing and I just want to thank the seller for selling them

Very sturdy
Very Durable. It has held up during hail, high winds, flooding, and constant sun.It was easy to put together. The swivel can be cumbersome to wind back up. But it keeps our hose nice and tidy.I do get some kinks in my hose and not sure if it is due to my hose thickness or due to the design of the reel. When I replace the hose with a higher grade hose I will update my review.

Ok let's get reel. Lol
Suncast has always been one of my faves. 1st. This is a hand driven hose reeler. That is why there is a hand knob on it. I'm on a budget and this is what I purchased. The auto reelers (making the hose move back and forth on roller) are more expensive. 2nd. The little stakes ( metal rods ) they are for stability. There are 2 holes bottom back of box. They go in those and into the ground. On this. Yes. Suncast should have put a tag at least on these to state this and took me a hot minute to figure out. BUT you do need to use them to stabilize the unit.Where the hose connects to the box. YOU NEED TO NOT ONLY TURN THE CONNECTOR PIECE. YOU NEED TO TURN THE HOSE ITSELF. Otherwise, it can leak.Suncast makes a great quality product that I have enjoyed for years. On this product. Maybe at least a helpful hints list with it would have been nice. I hope this helps. I already have had the Suncast auto reel one for 6 years in front of my house in direct sun. I never worried about the rods because it sits on concrete. It still looks and works great.

Good for 150 ft or less
It's okay for small hoses. It's not very sturdy, considering the 200 ft. heavy-duty hose I purchased. I had to hand wind most of it because the turn tool couldn't handle the weight. I do like that it came with stakes to keep it in place. They were easy to put into the ground. It wasn't worth the money for the size I had. However, if you had a smaller hose, it may be worth the cost.

Suncast Wicker Hose Hideaway: A Flimsy, Frustrating, Plastic Disaster!
This Suncast 175 ft. Wicker Style Resin Hose Hideaway is an absolute abomination and a complete waste of money. The "wicker style" might look decent in the picture, but in reality, it's nothing more than cheap, flimsy plastic that feels like it will shatter if you look at it too hard."Not sturdy" is a massive understatement. This thing wobbles and flexes with the slightest touch. I put my hose in it, and the entire unit felt like it was going to buckle. It's clearly not built to withstand any real outdoor use, let alone the weight of a standard garden hose. It might survive in a climate-controlled museum, but not in an actual backyard. And don't even get me started on the "rolls up hose without problems" claim – that's a flat-out lie! The internal mechanism is a joke. The crank is stiff, the hose jams constantly, and it feels like you're fighting a losing battle trying to reel anything in. It's more of a hose tangler than a hose hideaway. I've spent more time untangling and wrestling with this pathetic excuse for a product than actually using my hose. This Suncast product is a prime example of poor engineering and cheap materials being sold at an inflated price. Save yourself the frustration and buy something actually durable. This is a fragile, ineffective piece of plastic garbage that belongs in the recycling bin, not your yard.
