Eco-Friendly, Sturdy & Perfect for Everyday Drinks
I really like these biodegradable straws because they’re flexible, sturdy, and don’t get soggy quickly. They work great for smoothies, juices, and iced drinks, and I love that they’re a plastic-free option that helps reduce waste.

Great dependable flexible straws!
These 7.75 inch straws are opaque white. The length has fit into every drinking container that I have used. I love that there is no plastic. The straw can be in a container of water all day and does not degrade. So the biodegradable part must happen in a longer time. I will continue to buy them. Great product.

Disposable, Compostable Straw that survives the entire smoothie!
I have folks in my house that abhor re-usable plastic or metal straws so I went on the hunt for something other than non-compostable plastic but will actually survive being used for more than 30 seconds in a drink or frozen smoothie. These fit the bill! They are standard size (so not the larger ones for boba or thick smoothies), but so far they survive our smoothies start to finish without breaking down at a reasonable price. These are now on auto ship in our house. I haven't used them in hot drinks so I can't comment there, but for cool\cold drinks where you're looking for a more sustainable but still disposable option that can sit in the drink for 30 min or an hour while you sip, I can recommend these straws.

Perfect iced coffee straws for me!
I can't taste any difference between these and plastic straws, and I like that these are better for the environment. The length of these straws is perfect to use with a tumbler I use for iced coffee, and I prefer bendable straws over straight straws. I would recommend these straws.

Better than plastic! Lasts days. Works in hot, cold & acidic drinks. Fits tumblers and dispensers.
We have been trying every kind and brand of straw we could find to replace plastic, single-use straws. This is the only brand that really works! My daughter has an autoimmune disease with a disability with neurological and physical disabilities. She is on medications to suppress immunity. In order to give her independence and lower exposures, she needs disposable items but using plastic made her feel guilty. We tried paper straws but most dissolved or leeched dye. Then we stumbled on these in a recommendation from Amazon. These straws are amazing! You can’t tell they are plastic free. I have put them through the test. I left them in tea, coffee, soda pop juice and water for more than TWO DAYS and they were still intact. They even survived thirty seconds in the microwave and a day in the freezer. I used boiling hot coffee, cold liquids. These outperformed plastic! They still stayed intact for days. I was convinced after all that they could not be compostable. I was wrong. We buried them in the garden outside and they were sturdy for days and then poof, decomposing began. They come in a sturdy box, no extra plastic or paper wrapping around each straw. They are the same size as plastic, a milky white color and fit in our standard straw dispensers (we have top and side dispensing). Like plastic, they have the same same reposition-able and extendable bendy section that you can’t get in paper straws. They are sturdy enough to stir a drink with ice. They fit perfectly into our tumblers! I can’t understand why restaurants and hospitals don’t offer these!

The Cleanliness and Convenience of Disposable With Less Guilt
When you have a kid, straws are just a reality. Another reality is that straws are really annoying little things to keep clean. My son is not yet old enough where I can just give him something in a cup and expect him to sip out of it without eventually dumping a whole bunch of liquid on himself and the floor. Once they graduate from a bottle, most parents (like us) will graduate their children to some version of a plastic straw cup. Usually this will start with something with a weighted bottom and then move to a more normal cup that has a cover and comes with a rigid, reusable plastic straw. Herein lies the rub. Small children and reusable things that go into their mouths don't go well together for long once they have teeth to chew—and chew they do. Beyond the royal pain in the rear it is to constantly be cleaning the insides of these reusable little straws and making sure that they are dry, my kid was chewing up the ends of them. On top of that, he started to develop a taste for stuff like yogurt drinks that don't come with a straw so we decided to look for a disposable option and this is the solution that we came upon. Now it doesn't matter if my son chews up the straw. I don't have to worry about taking that stupid little brush and cleaning the inside of it or making sure that it dries. I can just give it to him to use and then throw it out afterward. Since it's biodegradable, I don't feel like complete garbage about the "disposable" part of it either, even though it's probably still more wasteful than a reusable straw. These things work like an absolute charm and I'd recommend them to anyone whether they have a kid or not.

With young kids, paper straws are pretty much useless so I got these for my two boys under 4. According to the box, they are good to 150F (about 65°C) which is much hotter than anything you would want to feed a child and about the peak temperature of municipal compost programs. I decided to test anyway to see if it would disintegrate using 181°F water. It definitely loses it's form but doesn't really disintegrate. The straw remains fully functional even after 5 minutes in this hot water.

After getting my teeth whitened I have to drink everything through a straw, so these are a perfect alternative to plastic straws that leave me feeling guilt free. I'm a huge fan of all compostable alternatives, and I'd absolutely recommend these to anyone else who prefers a plastic substitute. They feel like normal plastic, which is a huge bonus for me who can't stand metal and bamboo straws. I left the straw in my drink overnight and it was still 100% structurally sound unlike paper.

Unfortunately, no matter how gently you bend them, they still crack at the bend, and then they leak, and are ineffective as straws. You can only use them as straight straws, without bending them. The material they are made of is not flexible enough. This is a great idea, but it needs improvement.
