Blade sharpness
I’ve been very happy with the Hamilton Beach Power Elite Wave Action Blender. For the price, it performs better than expected. The 40-oz glass jar feels sturdy and high quality, and it handles smoothies, frozen fruit, and ice fairly well. I mainly use it for smoothies and protein shakes, and everything comes out smooth with minimal chunks. The 12 blending functions are convenient, especially the preset buttons for puree and ice crushing. It’s also easy to clean, which is a big plus. The blender is a bit loud, but that’s expected at this power level. My only minor complaint is that it can struggle slightly with very thick mixtures unless you add enough liquid or stop to stir. Overall, it’s a solid, affordable blender that works great for everyday use and is excellent value for the price.

Very nice product.
I'm in love with this blender I knew I was gonna love it when I made the purchase. It works well, not too heavy and very easy to use... love the Hamilton brand. Plus the price is right.

Good Blender, With a Few Limitations
his blender was okay overall. It does a good job with smoothies and basic blending, and I like that it comes with the glass jar and mini chopper for small tasks. It’s convenient for everyday use and doesn’t take up much space. That said, it struggles a bit with harder ingredients and thicker blends, so it’s not something I’d rely on for heavy-duty blending. For the price and casual use, it works fine—but if you blend frozen or dense ingredients often, you may want something more powerful. Good value, just not perfect.

It is beautiful
I had a blender for 12 years and it was time for an upgrade. I did my research for what I needed and selected the Hamilton Beach Power blender. I am not disappointed. Quiet in the kitchen, fits under my cabinets, beautifully. It is attractive and it is neutral in color so it blends well. I love it for blending my protein powder in my cold brew coffee each morning.

Affordable, reliable, and versatile!
This Hamilton Beach Power Elite Wave Action Blender is one of the most affordable blenders I could find, and I absolutely love it. We’ve used it for smoothies, shakes, and other drinks, and it works perfectly every time. The blender is dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup super easy, though you can also wash it by hand if you prefer. So far, we’ve had no issues with performance or durability. The speed options are great. We ordered the black one. Great value for the price!

Wish I had returned this
Updating from Oct 2024 (purchased July 2023): This blender really isn’t good, or at least maybe I got a dud. Currently my blender only works 1/5 times and I have to finagle it around to get it to start. A weird smoky burning smell happens when it’s running as well. It also leaves odd black marks all over my (white!) countertops, and I can’t figure out if this is the rubber on the bottom or if literally something is coming out of it. It’s basically just a paper weight at this point. And all I use it for is making smoothies. It rarely even blends up all the fruit. Not a great use of my money even if it was a ‘good price.’ It’s a loss if you have to replace it every year. Ugh. Original: I don't know about this blender. I bought it during Prime Day because my old blender (a Black & Decker one I got in college and probably got on a Black Friday deal) had recently broken. There are so many blender options available that it is quite overwhelming to pick one especially with all the features they have, but since my old B&D was "basic," I figured I didn't need like a Ninja-level blender for my purposes (I literally plan to only make things like smoothies or milkshakes with this). The only requirement I wanted was a blender with a glass jar. this is just what I am used to , but I also noticed that many blenders with plastic jars (including a ninja one I was considering) had reviews that stated plastic jars may crack. So, with that being part of my search criteria, I saw this Hamilton Beach one for an ok price and it had many positive reviews, so I decided to pick it up. With that said, when I received this blender I already missed my B&D one in "look and feel." While I think the glass jar is a nice size/shape, I don't like the quality of the lid. I thought having a pour spout would be nice, but it just feels so flimsy and cheap and when you use it it's like another messy thing to clean. I'm not sure what it adds on just pouring straight from the glass pitcher. Plus I find it cheap and plastic-y and it is difficult to pull off of the glass jar (I've literally damaged my nails trying to release it). In terms of function, I don't think this is all that powerful. I have probably used it about 5-7 times so far, and I'd say 40% of the time I've had to "assist" the blender to process my food because it will get stuck. I have literally only made smoothies with this (and that is all I really intend to use it for). I followed the directions, saying put in liquids first, followed by fruit. My blender literally only has milk, yogurt, and frozen fruit, and it is not able to effectively blend that consistently without me having to open it and push the fruit down with a spoon. The "wave" action doesn't seem to do much. It is also very loud. It think it is louder when it is probably working harder (like when it is blending and not pulling the fruit down). But it really sounds like a vacuum cleaner. So that is annoying because I didn't have to stop and assist the blender on my old B&D. Since I don't think a smoothie is all that complicated/difficult to blend, the fact that it can't do that consistently isn't very encouraging. So I am considering sending this back. If I can find a similarly priced blender to this, I will likely swap it for that.

Great Smoothie Blender
I don't know why I was looking at blenders that cost 10x as much, because this thing does the job and does it well. I had a Ninja blender for years, and loved using it, but when it came time to replace it I just couldn't justify paying that amount again. Especially when my parents have a 40 year old Hamilton Beach blender that still works well. I only use my blender for smoothies, so I can't speak to all the other functions of this blender (or others). With that said, I can throw all manner of frozen fruits into this blender and it doesn't struggle. I've had issues with other blenders struggling to get the protein powder off of the walls of the pitcher, but not this one. The consistency is great, and it's not nearly as loud as some other brands out there. My smoothies are blended within seconds. I appreciate how easy it is to clean too and that it can be taken apart quickly. It takes up less space, is lighter, and still has ample capacity as compared to my old Ninja. 10/10 would buy again, although given how well it's made, I probably won't be needing to buy another.
