microtivity IL042 5mm Diffused Blue LED (Pack of 25)

I ordered this to experiement with lighting chinese lanterns for decorations. I put 4 LED on a 2032 coin battery and they lasted for weeks when the battery died. It is a nice light but took at least 4 for a 10 inch lantern and would have been better with double that.

The diffused LED is great if you don't want to be blinded when you look directly at the LED like the clear ones do. These are nice, no too bright yet bright enough. However my complaint (2 stars) is that quite a large number of them were dead on arrival and others burned out extremely fast, like with-in minutes. Maybe I shouldn't complain because they are so cheap but I would be willing to pay more for better quality control. Just my 2 cents.

I ordered these LEDs for a costuming project. they came quickly and were exactly as they were described in the listing. they work beautifully when wired with 3 in series powered by a 9v battery, and I have run 12 in series-parralel with great results. they give off a defused light rather than a narrow spot of light.

They're LEDs, they work well, and the color doesn't vary. Used for a 3D Printed Iron Man Arc Reactor. Drove them with a 12V battery.

These LED's are really nice looking. Great for general purpose indicator lighting. Can't go wrong.What more can I say...

Not recommended... even lightly loaded these things burn out. Use an SMD instead as they are a LOT tougher!
