Duralex Made In France Lys 20-Ounce Square Bowl with Lid, Set of 6

I have various sizes of these bowls, and the glassware itself seems great. I'm typically very gentle with things like this, so I can't really speak to it's durability, but they stack great and I have had no issues taking them from the fridge to the microwave or running them through the dishwasher. The lids, on the other hand, are a bit lacking. First of all, they seem to stain just by being in the vicinity of spaghetti sauce. When I store leftover sauce, even though the bowl isn't full and the lid isn't touching it, it will still be stained when I open it. It seems like the condensation brings the sauce with it. Also, the lids warp when run through the dishwasher. They still fit just fine, even after being through it several times, but they're not flat anymore. These are both minor annoyances, and the lids function just fine, so I can't be too critical of them.Update 2018-02-18: After two years, I am happy to say I have not had any issues with these chipping or breaking. I've used them mostly for storing things in the fridge, a little bit of freezer and microwave use, and washing them regularly in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, I've recently come to realize that while I assumed when I bought them that they were borosilicate vs soda ash because of the lack of reviews of them breaking, there's nothing on Duralex's website to indicate this, and now I'm seeing reports of shattering. This doesn't mean they're not borosilicate, but without any indication one way or the other, it's impossible to know. And you would think that if it were, they would want people to know. Furthermore, I contacted them to inquire about this, and not only did they not answer, but they sold my email (or gave it away, as it looks like the company I got email from with it may be a sister company). This is reprehensible behavior. I considered lowering my rating due to this alone, but I have decided for now to just not raise it for the 2 years of use without issue. I'll report back if I end up getting more spam from the email.

I am gradually discontinuing my use of plastic storage containers. These are not only better for the environment and personal health, it turns out they are attractive, can be used as serving dishes, and are transparent enough that one can readily see the contents. I also have and like two other sizes as well as Duralex Picardie drinking glasses. I have had the drinking glasses for more than ten years - they are all durable, indeed.

So glad these are still available. I have tried so many different food storage containers and these are still my favorite despite the price. I keep buying these. I like that they don't have the rubber ring that water can get under and eventually you will see mold. Can't beat Duralex!

I am so happy with these containers. I am trying to replace my plastic containers with glass. These are the perfect size for lunches I bring to work. I cook a large pot of something, like chile, and freeze individual portions. I like that you can both freeze and microwave your food in these containers. I do not microwave the plastic covers, though; just use a paper towel for a cover. Duralex is wonderful brand. It's a little more expensive, but well worth the cost when you consider the many uses you will get from these, and most importantly, the excellent quality.

These were the perfect size that I needed, but I thought they could be used in the oven which was my main purpose. Nothing mentions oven use that I can find.

Duralex and Ball jars are all I use in my kitchen for storage now. I have collected all the sizes, just the best combination of tough glass bowls that look great on the table, and uncomplicated lids that always work and don't break. All the advice about letting things cool a bit before you fully close the lid and refrigerate is good practice. Hold up in the dishwasher great.

Nice quality- happy to find single serve size in bulk, instead of an assortment. Great for single person who can cook large meals and freeze portions for later. Lids can be hard to get on tightly- tend to pop off, but mainly before food has sufficiently cooled. Seem to stay on if freezer.
