Best make mod or cheap upgrade to your apartment or house.
Anyone wanting to swap their Rv or camper archaic thermostat for the 21st century I highly recommend this 10 minute cheap upgrade. I installed this in my 2008 Arctic fox 1150. The Pro 1000 takes two AAA batteries so no need to worry about it draining your camper just keep a few extra on hand for when those AAA get old. Super easy install. I pulled the old one off the wall with the two philips head screws and then undid the red gray and black wire. I had a wire connector on my gray and black so I cut that off and striped the wires back a little. The red wire goes into the R, the gray wire goes into W, and the black goes into the G. By hooking the black to the G it allows you to either have the basement fan in auto mode so it turns on when the furnace fan turns on or you can flip the fan switch to on and just the basement fan comes on. This allows you to control the basement fan independently of the furnace. I really like that I can see the inside temperature now and set it to an accurate temperature setting. It’s also going to be nice having the screen back lit so that I can see it at night with out turning any lights on.

Easy install
Great product. Very easy install. Directions were straight forward. It even came with 2 AAA batteries. Quality is good. Controls AC and propane powered heater. Exactly what I needed without the “programmable” features. Love the straight forward no nonsense old design.

Last a long time
I bought mine about 5 years ago and have had no problems.

The wall mounting sysstem is terrible
The older version of this used a screw to retain it to the wall. That was great but this unit is retained by some plastic clips that don't work well. It barely stays on the wall plate. It's terrible. All the description is terrible. One line says "made in USA" and other line says "imported", and the box says "assembled in Mexico". This is a terrible product. Which is too bad because I like the simplicity of using it and I like how it looks.

Yes, replace as needed for positive results. It will all work out just fine, and adjust accordingly. All will be very well.
My mother board, on my small thermostat, got blown out somehow, during hurricane Irma. Got the new one. Didn't have to take off the old plate/wiring, and plugge the new faceplate in.No problems at all, except.... Each unit has varying temperature measurements. What this means, as I found out, is that my new unit is not regulated at the same sound/temp readings as my old one. Now, this is all fine, and will work out soon. The issues is too adjust the new product accordingly. In other words, adjust the room/setting temperatures accordingly. The new product may now read 73, while the old one may read 70. So, mentally adjust your settings accordingly. Sure, this may take a while, but overshoot your settings, to make sure that you are cool to your liking. Eventually I believe, the readings will be more accurate. But that aside for now, REset it according to your prior likings. It will all work out very well. No need to worry!
