Ski Poles Graphite Carbon Composite - Zipline Blurr 16.0 - U.S. Ski Team Official Supplier

These look like great poles but the chrome finish on them had multiple chips on both poles from shipping I assume. My concern is that when your skis hit the bottom of the shaft, I would almost guarantee you knock off the shiny paint and see dull black underneath. After a season I think the finish will look bad. I returned to sender and purchased the Lollipop Ziplines. Those came today and my first impression is that they will look better longer because they are designed black at the bottom, so scratches will be less noticeable..

Great looking poles, nice grips, screw-on baskets, secure wrist straps, and nice swing weight. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience first time (only so far) out with these poles, just recently. An expert skier, apparently I 'found' a hole in the icy, compacted base of a groomed trail into which the pole 'sunk' to the basket. Traveling fairly fast I was soon ahead of the pole, which by this time had pulled my left arm back to the point where it 'rotated' me somewhat. The pole would not come out of the hole so soon there was a lot of tension on my arm until the pole snapped off, just above the basket. First time anything like this has EVER happened to me, a very strange occurrence. Poles have already been replaced, very quickly and easy for me, so kudos to Amazon and the supplier. I will be trying them again Monday, March 16th and am confident I will find them to be just fine.

Great poles, but critical design flaw. The poles baskets and tips are great, I even like the straps. Unfortunately I will probably not even take these poles home from my ski trip. The grips are hard plastic with rubber for your hands.This is functional, not great. The big problem arises when it’s time to take off your skis. I use the grip side of poles to release my bindings. Carbide tips on plastic makes a mess of nice bindings in a hurry, so experienced skiers know to use the grip side. However with these because of the hard plastic and angle on the grip this is nearly impossible. I had to borrow a buddies pole to remove my skis.These would be amazing poles if the grips were rubber, but I would not recommend with the current grips.

I bought these for my son for Xmas. I don't know much about the sport or the gear yet, but I am learning fast. I loved the variety of colors offered adn seemed to be a good fit for my son. My son loves them! They are light weight, and easy to spot should he take spill :) .My son is fairly new to this sport and this is his first new pair of poles. We were initially disappointed that after the 3rd time using the poles the basket came off at some point on a hill. I emailed the company and they were very quick to reply. With no hassle at all from them, they problem solved the issue in one email and have a new part coming over night to us. They also educated me a bit on proper install of the baskets so this hopefully won't happen again. As my son is new to this sport it is very possible/probable that the issue was on our end and he did not properly install the basket. It was not a major issue and we are extremely happy with the outcome and resolution. With another son coming up in the ranks, the quality of the product and outstanding customer service, I will definitely be back to shop here again.

i have had the opportunity to use these only once so far, (end of season purchase) and they performed well. i generally ski blacks, and moguls. i love the fun color (i ordered tropical, and bonus, they match my skis! ) they came with one of the powder baskets attached, and one not. it was sort of difficult to attach the second basket, but i eventually figured it out. will have to see how they take me through next year, but i have high hopes! i really appreciate the shipping. was worried that i wouldn't get them in time, and would have to rent only poles, so i had them sent ahead of me to my ski destination. was pumped to have them there! am thinking of purchasing a pair of the orange ones for my daughter.

I have used a few pair of Zipline poles over the years, I generally have to buy another pair because my kids or my friends end up taking them. I guess you could say I am a bit of gear junkie, when I saw this color I had to have them. These things are durable but the technical aspect of these poles are far better than any aluminum pole I have used in the past. Yes they may cost a little more but they will also perform better. The thing I like the most is the swing weight is the perfect balance for me.

I bought my first pair of Ziplines two years ago and love them. I am a bump skier and my poles are always up in front of me and waiting for the next bump. The graphite poles are extremely light so the response is very quick and the slim handles fit snugly into my grip. Depending on the weather, I have different gloves for when it is really cold which are thicker and lighter gloves for the warmer days. I like to keep the straps tight around my wrist and I really like that the straps adjust so easily. In fact I have never had a pair poles where it is so easy to adjust the straps. This pair is for my daughter and she loves the feel and stoked with the screamin yellow color. That makes two very happy customers! - Jeff

We needed to add pole guards by the same manufacturer. It was very difficult to do as we were scared of breaking the plastic. In the end, we sort of learned the trick to attach it. I wish Zipline had offered/provided more descriptions on how to attach both pole guards and pole baskets. I could not find any instructions on the internet (except for a few YouTube on other brands) so I had to figure out on my own and it was quite difficult to (1) first find the right type for the pole, and then (2) attach them. After all, we are happy with the quality. But we did come a long way and wished we had spent extra money to bypass the process or go to a different brand to avoid the headache.
