This is a Great Yearly Bible. Easy to read version in language that easy to understand.

Even though my preferred version is NASB Updated for studies and sermons, my simple daily devotional reading is from NLT The One Year Bible. And I must say, it is a delight to my soul.1. NLT The One Year Bible is arranged so that you could either finish the whole Bible in 1 year, 2 year, or 3 year span. This gives a flexibility to the reader. To finish the Bible in one year, it only takes 15 mins. a day. Because it has arranged the daily reading portion for you, you do not have to worry about it.2. Because the NLT is so much easier to read than other versions of the Bible, it is enjoyable and you can soak in the content of the Bible more readily. NOTE: NLT is not the most literal Bible, therefore you might need to supplement with more literal translation of the Bible (NASB, ESV, or KJV). This has been the practice for me, and it works well.3. Fonts are crisp, sharp and large enough to read the Bible comfortably without straining your eyes.4. Even though it is a softcover and the pages are glued to the spine, it is well glued and sturdy. I do recommend that you reinforce the cover with Kittrich Rolled Adhesive Bookcover, 18 Inches x 9 Feet, Clear, 1 Roll (03-750-12),to reinforce the sturdiness.5. Pages are thin, but they are opaque enough and strong.6. This particular edition is from 2004 (NLT 2nd edition), it has been reported that 2nd edition has corrected some of the inaccuracies of the 1st edition (1996). The 3rd edition (2007) has been published with minor updates, but as of now, NO 3rd edition of NLT One Year Bible has been published.7. One thing I do miss from the 1st edition of The One Year Bible NLT (New Living Translation) is the place of footnotes. In the 1st edition, the footnotes are placed at the bottom of each page, so you can quickly refer to them, but in the 2nd edition (OYB), the footnotes are placed at the end of each day's section, so you have to flip a page or two to get there. A minor annoyance.Overall, I enjoy reading NLT One Year Bible. It has been for many years. Highly recommended!

I was so excited to order this Bible, that I forgot to check the print size. I have bad eyesight. The print is very small. I had to use my magnifying glass to read it. I'm gifting this Bible to my daughter, and I ordered the one that has larger print. I love the layout of this Bible. First time to read a One Year Bible. I love that we start out in the Old Testament-Genesis, then read a chapter or 2 in the New Testament, then some Psalm, and Proverbs. Enjoying the daily reading of the Bible, so much!
