Very Soft & Doesn't Shed
I made my first ever crochet blanket with this yarn! I used 3 different yarn types which made it a challenge. I definitely love the super chunky size 7 yarn. The navy was the same brand but size 6 and was not as soft. I wrote a separate review on that one. The yellow was soft enough to use for the bulk of my blanket, 3 rows each instead of the other colors I used 1 row each, then the super chunky soft loops and threads sunrise for the border. I will definitely buy the yellow again, it's a fun bright color (difficult to catch the exact color on camera). It doesn't shed compared to the loops and threads sunrise. I will be using this in the future for sure.NOTE: I originally bought this yellow yarn because I had bought the MUSTARD YELLOW first and because they have the same product code, I thought they were the same color; they are not. This is a bright sunny yellow compared to the mustard.CON: One ball was completely fine with just one knot in it. The 2nd ball I used had a lot of little pieces that were not connected to the ball so I wasn't able to use all of the yarn for the blanket. I'll still probably use them for a smaller project but at first I was not very happy about that and worried the whole ball was like that. Luckily it wasn't! I didn't measure how much came like this, see my 2nd picture for reference.

So soft!
The softness is incredible. Used this to make a baby blanket for my newborn nephew for the winter. No knots and no fuzzies after a good wash. Patterned yarn makes for a great blanket.

Color ans softness
My mother crocheted me a beautiful blanket with this yarn. The colors are very vivid and the yarn is very soft. She will be making every child and grandchild a blanket for Christmas with this brand and we have already purchased more in other color schemes.

Soft and easy to work with
I am a novice with crochet. I have nerve damage from a flu shot so my fingers are numb however, I found using this yarn, due to its thickness and softness, was easier than thin yarn. Love the feel of this for my blankets.

My favorite bulky yarn, soft hand and easy to work with.
I recently ordered eight 10.5 oz skeins of Sailors Delight at Amazon's incredible add-on price. I plan on knitting a throw blanket and a triangle shawl with it, and I'm just about finished with the shawl right now. Bernat Blanket yarn is the absolute best for blankets, shawls and throws. It is incredibly soft and does not shed or pill, as does other bulky acrylic yarns. The resulting article made from this yarn is similar to a fleece blanket or pullover. It is very warm. The only negatives that I've come across with this particular shade (Sailors Delight) is an inconsistency in the density of the yarn and some fading of the variegated colors. My shawl uses two big balls, and the yarn from the first ball had a solid density and good color saturation. When I attached the second ball to my work and completed a couple of long rolls, I noticed that the yarn grew thinner and less dense, and the color saturation was more faded. Perhaps this particular ball was wound at the end of a manufacturing run, who knows. But because it was noticeably different, I unraveled the rows and changed out the ball for another one. Other than this issue, the yarn is perfect. In case anyone is wondering about how much to order for a simple garter knit triangle shawl (37" x 66"), I've completed a previous shawl using four 5.3 oz balls in Harvest and am finishing up my current project using two 10.5 oz balls in Sailors Delight. Hope this helps.

So soft.
This yarn works up so fast. My almost king size afghan is 7 skeins of red tie dye-ish and 1.5 skeins of white and it took less than a week to make. I love how soft it is and it is soooo warm.

Best blanket yarn!
I love how quick and easy this works up! The yarn keeps it’s fluffiness once washed as well.
