I was very dubious about such a small battery pack being able to start up to a 6 litre Diesel engine and was just as suspicious as to whether it would start my 2.8 litre diesel van engine. When I have used jump leads they have gotten really warm ! I needed something I could start the engine with even if I didn’t have use of another van or car to jump from. I didnt want to carry around a big bulky battery pack like you see in places like Halfords, so a I started to look at what was around, and found the Jumtop starter pack.It comes in a semi hard case, with a cut out for the battery pack itself, then a dividing ‘flap’, that separates the other half of the case. This half has a mesh pocket that holds the user manual, the jump start clips. A 12v accessory lead and two usb leads for charging, one USB C and one Micro USB lead.It hadn’t occured to me that I could use this to power 12v products as well as as a phone charger etc. This is very useful if you need to ‘test’ something that has a 12v cigarette lighter plug. You could run a 12v fan, or a cool box etc with this.That’s all very well, but how well would it do it’s actual job ?I charged it up fully, and right on cue my poor old Renault Master Campervan was dead as a doornail. She doesn’t get used much and the battery is frequently flat from lack of use. The ignition wouldn’t even turn the engine, just clicked.I attached the positive clip first as per the instructions, then attached the Earth. As I clipped it on a crackle and a few sparks came from the clip. At least I knew there was power in the Jumtop, was it enough to juice a completely dead battery enough to turn the engine.The ignition span the engine over quicker than my battery on its own ever has, even new. I was shocked to say the least. Engine started on second turn. I removed the Jumtop within the 30 seconds it says in the user manual and my engine was full of life ticking away.I have used this pack around 8 times now, and have proudly shown it to friends. At least one has gone ahead and bought one for his camper too, that has the same problem as mine. We need to camp more !I would top up the charge once a month just to make sure it has the power when you need it most. It recommends every 3 months in the manual, but I am happier topping up monthly just so I know I’m not going to be let down with it.It doesn’t show the battery state as such and when charging the lightning logo on top flashes red to start with, then yellow, then green. Once fully charged the green stops flashing and stays on solid.It also has an led torch on one end of the pack which is useful on those dark rainy nights when you need to connect to the battery in a dark engine bay.All in all, as suspicious as I was, I recommend this jumpstart, its not overly expensive, and for the peace of mind it gives you, especially for women who regularly drive alone, this is an invaluable piece of kit.I look forward to seeing what other gems Jumtop come up with in the future. The presentation of this one was very good. I love the case it comes in.

I bought this using prime so i had it in less than 12 hrs from ordering. having seen the size of other brands I was not alarmed by its small size as it is comparable in size with them On arrival I checked over the item making sure it was complete and undamaged it was and i then placed it on charge but i did not require this as it arrived fully charged, I then put it in my car and forgot about it that was until I needed it. It worked first turn of the key, I could not have asked for any more. My daughter and i both love the outdoor s and I think the only problem with it will be she will borrow it on safety grounds pointing out that I would not want her to stuck away from help with a flat phone battery attachments included so i can see other purchases coming up etc as these will make perfect stocking fillers for Christmas. Price wise it beats other less well equipped units and the cheaper offerings did not have anywhere near the same starting power and or were missing the 12v power socket and usb phone charging accessories that came with this one. this is value for money , it works and overall I'm well chuffed with mine

I have a 2.0L Diesel Turbo engine. This is my second jump starter purchase, the previous one I bought wasn't powerful enough and I returned it.The JUMTOP instantly started my car with a flat battery (I used an old battery which I had drained to empty). I repeated it, same result.My one concern is the hard plastic cover, I would have liked a rubberised one because if I ever drop it I think it will break. I also don't know how long it keeps it's charge before you have to recharge it or, potentially, when you actually need the thing, it might be dead.JUMTOP asked me to increase the rating from 4 to 5 stars, so I've reduced it to 3.

Purchased this product due to a flat battery. My car had just gone out of warranty so I would have to pay a garage to look at the issue. I tested the battery and that was ok. I found this jump start on Amazon and thought it was worth a try. The car was completely flat (2.2 diesel). As soon as I hooked it up Icould hear the car power up. Started the car first time. We have four cars in my household and this gives me confidence that if any car had battery issues at least I can get them home. This product is well worth the money!

Whilst this is a neatly packaged item I found it quite cumbersome. It comes in a large case and takes up a fair bit of room (in a motorcycle pannier).Charging takes a long time, I think a full charge was literally overnight. What was more disappointing was the discharge time. I charged a Gopro 7 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 phone and that was it. It was dead. Whereas a companion of mine had a device half the size and charged his devices as many as 5 times. I was expecting better performance.

So I made a rookie error with my campervan and left the lights/water pump on (hooked up to the leisure battery) for over 4 days. Didn’t realise the leisure battery, once drained, uses the main battery - so both were flat as a pancake when I next went to use the van. Ordered this wee gadget (same day delivery), charged it up and on first turn of the ignition the van started!Impressed actually doesn’t cut it! Such a small gadget and so easy to use! I’m beyond happy!

The portable jump starter I ordered from the Amazon Warehouse arrived unopened and in perfect condition. I was impressed with the protective case and all of the additional leads and cigarette lighter cables for charging phones etc for the money and although I didn't pay full price I definitely would as it is worth every penny . It was perfect for jumping the vehicles I needed to and would highly recommend to anyone.

I ordered this while I was away because my car has a habit of not starting after a few weeks, got back and this was there waiting for me. As expected my car was as dead as a dodo but with this it brought my car back to life no problem and I’ve already recommended it to a few friends who have the same problem.
