Useless bit holders, but fair quality box.
To start with the box is not 12 x 2.2 x 17 as Amazon says. Without the hinge or latches, it is 12 3/16 x 2 1/4 x 19 1/8. With the hinge and latch, the 12 3/16 goes to 12 3/4. The box it's self is reasonably quality construction. The hinges and latches aren't very sturdy but should hold up fine since the lid is not very heavy. However the wood blocks that hold the bits look to be added by someone other than the maker of the box. They are poorly made from cheap scrap wood. The plastic inserts glued into the holes are so tight as to make this thing unusable. The strips of red paper backing, that serves no purpose, are pealing off, very inaccurately cut and placed. It would have looked better if they had just left them out. Also the extra 2 inches in height make it so I can not mount it where I planed to.As others have said the back of the box is very thin. The good news is that the blocks that the bits go in seem to only be attached to the back. I plan on using my router table to trim through the back around the edges and put a new stronger back on. The current back looks like light 1/8 inch 3 ply Poplar plywood, I will replace it with either 1/8 or ΒΌ inch Birch plywood. Then make my own blocks to hold the router bits. I think the easiest way will be to start with some nice 1.5 inch square Poplar, drill holes with my 33/64ths drill bit, then cut the blocks at an angle before I glue them to the new back. The box with out the bit holders I would give 3 or 3.5 stars. The bit holders get 0 stars.

Very nice cabinet with a large amout of room to sort my bits. I wish they made a deeper cabinet to store my large router bits in

Cheaply made
Made from extraordinarily cheap materials and not deep enough to hold some bits. I had to replace the hinges (the hinges it came with were made from tin foil). I also had to glue strips of wood around the perimeter to make the box deep enough to hold my 1/2" bits.

Good stroage
Great way to store all the bits that get scattered all over the shop. It is so big that it makes my collection of bits look wimpy !I wish it had a storage box for misc bearings and hardware that come with some bit sets.

cheap CHEAP and very CHEAP
Very thin wood on the back and the cheap red backing was pealing off before I opened the box. As I needed something immediatley I used it. The wood that hold the bits I will reuse when this falls apart. And it will. Why is it that all the people that have items that deal with bits make the holders so tight you need gloves to take the bits out or put them in. Anybody that has bought a freud bit knows what I am talking about. Just try to get the bit out of the container with you bare hands and you will need a box of bandaids. Same with the little plastic cups they use on this to hold the bits. I popped them all out so I can grab and work. As I mounted this on a wall gravity holds them in place. You will need to keep them in if no wall mounted but then I would expect it to not last very long as the back will give out due to the thinness and the type of wood they used. Hardwood it is not.I will build my own later and deeper to hold my bigger bits

Cheaply made
It certainly is inexpensive and holds a lot of bits, but the workmanship is really shoddy. The sleeves are super tight, so it's difficult to get the bits in and out.

I should have built my own
Doesn't hold many of my 1/2 shank bits. The cabinet isn't deep enough, the individual "shelves" are tilted to the front. I rebuild the cabinet making it deeper and letting the "shelves" pivot. Some WD-40 let's the bits slide into the nylon sleeves. However, I clean off the shanks with brake cleaner before using them.
