Our grandson loves to learn new jokes off popsicle sticks, kid snack boxes and asking Alexa so he can tell jokes with his friends. This was a perfect birthday gift to add in for his birthday each year. He’s always asking people for new jokes. It’s a great ice breaker and skill for meeting new people also. Jokes are short and sweet making them easy to remember so he has really enjoyed the book and telling new jokes when he comes over and shares how his friends thought the joke was funny too. The book is 98 pages with 3-4 jokes per page and easy to read for 8 year olds. The last couple pages are jokes submitted by 8 year olds which was cute.

It will be part of a Christmas present for a 10-year-old little boy with three sisters. In skimming the book, it appears to be exactly like my little brother would have embarrassed me with when he was that age. And right for my nine-year-old grandson.

I got this to get our 8 year-old grandson interested in reading because he WANTED to, not because he HAD to for school. It did the trick. He followed me around the house for more than an hour reading all of the jokes. The only problem was that some of the jokes were either out-of-date or difficult for an 8 year-old to understand. I had to explain a lot of them to him and they just weren't funny after all that effort. However, it did inspire him to ask for my joke/funny books for leisure reading and that's just what I wanted.

Wow! We are beyond happy with this purchase! This book was a gift for my niece’s 8th birthday - she is our family comedian and always coming up with her own silly jokes. I knew this book would be a hit and it was declared as her favorite present! She’s been reading us jokes from it 24/7 and has been utilizing the blank pages in the back to write her own jokes. We emailed the author, Mat, to share her favorite original joke and tell him how much we have enjoyed his book and he took time to write a personalized thank you back which made it even more special for my niece! She’s already asking for another one of Mat’s joke books for Christmas and submitted her joke for the worldwide joke map! Thank you for such a great gift, the whole family has gotten a lot of giggles reading it and we love the encouragement for kids to create and write their own jokes to share with other kids from around the world. My 7 year old was going through a joke-telling phase so I thought this book would be a fun way to add to his collection. He read through many of them, but didn’t seem to find many very humorous. Several one-liners, and maybe some went over his head a bit.

A birthday gift for my grandson and he loved reading it.

My son has had a few of these joke books every time he has a birthday, he asks for the next one up. He finds them really funny. Loads of great jokes inside! Great for any joke loving child.
