Love this pen!
As a resident physician, I really appreciate multi-colored pens that are easy to write with and are reliable. This one is amazing. I love the 0.4mm as well - need to write lots of notes in very small spaces.

Great multi-pen
Pros: Fabulous pen for the person who writes very small or needs to cram as many notes as possible onto their paper. The pens feel like a 0.5mm size (really can't tell it's 0.4mm) and write very smooth, definitely nice Zebra quality. Very nice bonus to have a pencil in it as well. The barrel size is fine for me but might be slightly large for those with smaller fingers although the grip is very comfortable. Cons: With so many cartridges stuffed into the barrel the ink does run out a little faster than I would like as they are smaller. The pen clip does feel a little flimsy so I'm careful with it. Overall I really like this pen.

Great gel pen. Could use a better design on the pen body.
The first thing I noticed was that the pen body was see-through. It looks pretty solid in the picture, but there's hints that it's not. In person, it is very much see-through, and looks like cheap plastic trying to be glass. I wish it was solid; it would look classier. The pencil and inks are fantastic. This is most definitely a gel pen, which the brand name Sarasa is, so I don't know what the heck Amazon's playing at, labeling this a ballpoint. 0.4mm gel inks are heavenly for me. They flow well enough, but after a week's worth of light use, I can tell that I'm going to need refills before long. I just have to decide whether to save a few bucks and order the 10-pack off Amazon, which comes all the way from Japan, or order from JetPens, which is located in America and has many more color choices, but is a bit pricier. The one thing that baffles me about this pen is that the top part, which contains the eraser, presses down. Why? You can push the clip down to advance the lead, just like every multi-pen I've ever used, but for some reason, you can also click the top part. It's baffling because if you press it while using pen, not pencil, it just makes the pen stick out more. It's an odd design choice and not one that makes this better. Not a knock against the pen, but when it arrived, my area was in the middle of a heat wave, and the pen tip coverings, the round pink things, had melted enough to stick to the pen. I had to peel them off. Of course, I discovered the pressing down of the top eraser before I removed all of them, so now I have pink stuff stuck on the inside of the pen near the end.The pen is comfortable to hold. I like multi-pens because they're thicker than regular pens, but multi-pens have gotten pretty slim over the years, which makes me rather sad. I have small hands, and I just find thicker barrels more ergonomically comfortable for me. I can write so much faster, smaller, and neater. But this pen does the job well enough. The pen bobs and makes clicky noises if writing small and fast at certain angles. I have to rotate the pen to stop that annoying noise.I do wish the gel inks lasted longer, but that's just the nature of the beast. I'm debating whether I want to stick purple ink in here at some point. Perhaps I'll buy another one and fill that one up with fun colors.

Excellent product!
These are the most wonderful pens I've ever used. I love the fine point of each color, the smooth and flawless flow of ink and the general feel of the pen in my hand. It leaves no messy little globs or smudges. The lines are distinct and even. I bought several for gifts and will buy more as needed. I also loved the nice little message from Ryu that came in my package. It felt like a friend sending me a gift! Thank you! I spent a summer in Japan many years ago and appreciate the kindness in this note.

Highly recommended
This is much better than the other Zebra pens because the ballpoint ink is more like a "gel" brand ink rather than the cheapy "Bic" style ink. The ink flows really fluid and has little colored bands around each point so you know exactly what color you are using.I used the plain Zebra pen for 2 years, of course I had to switch out the ink refills by finding a comparable pen and cutting the refill to the right size. This one is 10x better, and not that more expensive.EDIT: January 30, 2018The ink does not last very long. I am back here searching for refills. I typically use the blue the most, and after a few months of seldom use, I am running out. I ordered another pen in case I can't find the appropriate refills.

Love this pen
This is a great multi-pen. Love that it has a pencil. Need to definitely get refills. It is a little on the thicker side but still fits in my Hobonichi cousin cover pen loops. As with most fine tip gel pens, can be scratchy on different paper. So far with a pencil board, it writes smoothly on Tomoe River paper (probably spelled that wrong), which is the paper in my Hobonichi.

Essential for nursing students
I have been using zebra pens for a long time now. This is a good pen. However, ink runs out fast.
