I got this as a gift for someone, and it worked immediately. The clip is a bit rough, but for the money, it was good. It goes on sort of like a hair clip.

This thing is really bright. That might be a good thing to some, but I dislike lights that are too bright that could shine in my kid's eyes. The other thing is that the vibration sensitivity is low. Nice if you want to slap it, but bad if you put it on a bicycle. Every bump turns it off.Finally, the charging is with a DC type plug (I forget what it is called). It's not USB-C (preferred) nor is it Micro USB - which I am trying to avoid but will accept. But if you kid needs these. What are you going to do?Final note that this can be illegal in some states within the US particularly if being used on adult or big kids' bicycles. Most cops might not care but you may run into one that does

My 5 year old kept asking for a police light. He loves this thing. He puts this thing in his bicycle, toys or his police costume. Pretty bright for being that little.

I do a lot of long distance cycling which involves a lot of riding at night. I have excellent lights but I still worry about inattentive and drunk drivers. I posted on my blog that I wanted to invent a bicycle light that looks like a police light bar. The drivers would see it from 100 yards back and think there was a police car 1/4 mile ahead - even if just for a moment. That would catch their attention better than all the flashing red lights in the world.So I found this on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. It's not as bright as my $40 high-end tail lights but, for a 'toy' it's surprisingly bright and has a run time in excess of 5 hours on the lower setting. There are two brightness settings, although the difference is not great, plus a flashlight mode. The attachment is a let down though - it's a big alligator clip so if you want to mount it horizontally (the only way that makes sense) you are pretty much limited to clipping it to the flap of your saddle bag.

It's a very cool self-contained lighted toy. It could make a attractive Christmas tree ornament for a special LEO. Or, it might make a nice object-o-distraction around the office water cooler. But, it's still a toy for sure.

The media could not be loaded.  The product is super bright. Hopefully it will help as I am a crossing guard. But the instructions are all in Chinese and there is no American instructions that came with it. I can’t figure out how to turn the “white” light off to just have the flashing red and blue

This is a bit expensive, but a nice product. Good for my costume. My only complaint is that you cannot slow the speed of the lights sothey can be a bit seizure inducing. I had to tape off a bit of the product to make this better and lower the brightness.
