Use features like bookmarks, note taking and highlighting while reading Holy Quran. Review: WILL THE REAL ISLAM PLEASE STAND UP: A TRUE HOLY BOOK - This Quran does an excellent job in explaining the verses in their historical context, and also what the words mean in the original Arabic. It takes the inflammation and hatred out of the text and puts the verses in their proper perspective so they will not be misunderstood by the reader. I would give this book a thousand stars but I am only limited to five. And as far as the one star reviews go that call the Ahmadiyya or Mirzai group non Muslims; ignore that nonsense. This is a group that seeks to reform Islam and embrace all religions and the kernels of truth the reside within. The problem some people will have with these groups, is that they are too embracing of others and open-minded. They believe that God still speaks to human beings as he did the Prophet Mohammed, although they believe that The Quran was the last holy book to be handed down from the heavens and no other shall be written after it. They are not undercover terrorists putting out propaganda to try and trick others to join their religion as I saw one reviewer state. These individuals are hated by the extremists and put to death for their faith just like everybody else by the modern Islamic death cults. This is a peaceful group that came about in the mid 19th century and looks to restore the Muslim faith to piece and acceptance for all. Anyone who would reject these peaceful teachings and slander the beliefs of these people need to check their religion at the door. Why would anyone make a religious career of hating, bad mouthing and killing a group whose motto is, "acceptance of all, hatred for none." It takes a pretty hard heart and head to spew garbage about such individuals or call them infidels for preaching a message of love. This version of the Holy Quran is fantastic and has much wisdom and research within its commentary. I fully support this translation and the group who put it out, if you want peaceful Islam, look no further. This is a faith that anyone could be proud of! Review: Great English Translation, With Arabic text, Commentary bonus - This was one book my Imam did not favor for two things and they are because of the english translation (though honestly he did not really understand the structure of the english like I did, that or because he didn't like the choice of words) but I liked it personally compared to other ones I read before. It is really good, and a bit advanced in the way that you'd have to get a dictionary to see what a word means but it's good because you'd learn new words but you wouldn't really be forced to do it all the time because you'd already know the meaning of what the verse means by the time you get to the word. Though his main gripe was that the book opened and began with the American style (left to right) of books rather than that of Arabic (reverse) where you start at the very back of the book to began the Quran to read it in true Arabic style. But I still do have The Quran with English and Arabic translation he has given me which is also a great one that I should recommend to everyone for the easy understanding and two English and Arabic texts it has, it is in the Arabic style in that when you read it it starts from the Back of the book instead of the front for example American books. The only downside to it is the grammer mistakes found through out the book, but I read both of this books side by side at the same time to compare and get a better understanding because they both can sound better than the other at times so its a win win. Even better though is the Arabic because it is the same in all books as proved by Allah (Almighty God) opposed to different language translations. Another cool note for the other Quran (not this one) is that on the english translation the followers of Allah are refered to as muslims where it doesn't do so on this version of Muhammad Mualana Ali's. Now I don't know Arabic at the moment so this review is obviously for the people looking for the best English translation. I recommend this one, I also recommend the other one which my Imam gave me and its The Holy Quran Kanzul Imam (The Treasure of Faith) By Imam Ahmad Raza Qadri Rehmatullah Alaih Renedered into English By Prof. Syed Shah Faridul Haque Published By Markaz-E-Ahle Sunnat Barkaat-E-Raza Not sure if you will find this anywhere but it's worth that I mention it.

Maulana's translation is definitely one of the best (see the bottom for an example)
I totally agree with the positive comments from the other buyers. Maulana's translation is definitely one of the best (see the bottom for an example). Unlike most other translations, it addresses God as "Allah", with total faith and respect to the original language. Maulana's language is also aesthetic in a poetic way, concise, and easy to understand. The paper is thin and you can definitely see through them; yet they aren't very easy to break. The preview of the book shows that it was printed in Belgium, but the copy I received was printed in Korea (for some reason I don't know). The cover and binding are of good quality, yet can still get damaged in the process of shipping (which is my case), so be prepared. Verse 2:62: - Maulana Muhammad Ali (1917): Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good, they have their reward with their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve. - Yusuf Ali (original 1934, revised 1989): Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,--any who believe in God and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Revised version makes the translation less liberal and faithful since it has to adapt to modern Arab culture. You can check the review for the latest version of Yusuf's book to verify this point.) - Ali Unal (2008): (The truth is not as they—the Jews—claim, but this:) Those who believe (i.e. professing to be Muslims), or those who declare Judaism, or the Christians or the Sabaeans (or those of some other faith)--whoever truly believes in God and the Last Day and does good, righteous deeds, surely their reward is with their Lord, and they will have no fear, nor will they grieve. (This translation is actually the best selling one on Amazon. well its clumsiness, bias and excessive own opinion and interpretation is pretty self-explanatory.)

One of these translations and commentary
I would definitely suggest the translation over many others as other can add commentary to make the message seem extreme. This is balanced and clear

Great book
As a Shriner in the Masonic brotherhood, great book to use for my lectures and to use for reference guide for the passage translated in English.

Impressive
For the price, this is a solid study Quran. I find it very interesting to read all the notes. The notes are well-written and in depth. The author is definitely keeping up with scientific trends and all the newly discovered notes about the Quran. I love that you can always keep uncovering the deep truths within the Quran. It seems like every time Science discovers something the scholars on the Quran have to dive deeper and this Quran seems to be picking up all those things. Hopefully they will just keep adding more and more with the more we discover. Beautiful book.

beautiful book and great translation
I am still reading this translation but it is very easy to read and really tries to emphasize pure islam. I am Christian but have read enough from the Quran to know its inspired by divine revelation. Many are divided on this but if you read the Tanakh and Gospels and you read the Quran most of its the same. Just that this is the message to Ishmael's seed who at the time were pagans and were a savage people. So they needed a message that was stern and gave them a way of living upright. There's a lot Christians can learn about God from reading the Quran. If you really study Islam you'll realize that its really just an atypical version of Christianity that rejects the trinity and atonement by Christ, but it does not reject Christ. He is also the Messiah in the Quran and will also return on Judgement Day and the Resurrection hour. He is also called the word in the Quran and is immaculately conceived. Some people will not buy this translation because it is done by a Ahmadi Muslim , but this particular sect (lahore) of that Muslim group does not go against the belief that Muhummad is the last prophet in Islam. Plus they practice the 5 pillars, dawah, and food laws. So they are muslims just with some different interpretations than orthodox. Worth noting that this is the first Quran translated in English ( 1917) and doesnt use the archaic King James english.

GREAT for those wishing to learn about Quran who do not speak ARabic and are not familiar with Islam. Great work. I
Best Translation and explanation of Holy Quran I have found. AS a non Arabic speaker, Christian raised American this Quran by far exceeds others with explanations and clear message of the HOLY Prophet Mohammad PBUH and his Family. My love for the Prophet and his family has grown with this edition, as well as other books I recommend https://www.amazon.com/Sayed-Ammar-Nakshawani/e/B00ISH5NZE by this author are really great. The fourteen infallibles by Sayed Ammar Nakshawani is really wonderful. https://www.amazon.com/Who-Hussain-Mehdi-Saeed-Hazari/dp/0986295191/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1509396258&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=who+is+huesain. Who is huesain is another great book, for those wishing to learn more about the Prophet and his family and the history of true Islam. This Quran and these books have really helped me to see the beauty of Islam as a religion of Peace and not of Hate as it has been portrayed in News etc....I buy these for all my friends who wish to learn about Quran and Islam and all the books I mentioned above.
