Storelli BodyShield Sleeveless Undershirt, Protective Soccer Base Layer, Lightweight Compression Top with Padded Chest

Bought for my very skinny 5' tall, 100lb keeper girl a Youth Large. It fits her well, providing some protection in the midchest for hard basket catches and rib protection for 50/50 slides. It looks very tight on her, but she assures me it's a comfortable fit as it is very stretchy. She wears it on the field for when her opponents like to throw elbows. A few size notes. My child is 5' and rather skinny. Smaller chest. 1. If she had developed much it would not fit across the chest. 2. It provides padding exactly to the bottom of her ribs. If she was taller it would not. 3. For girls: there is no padding for the *ehem* girls, but if they are placing their chest drops accurately, there is a bit of padding for the breast bone, which should lighten the impact. 4. The arm holes are skinny. My 13 y/o has skinny arms, so this is ok for us. Breathable material should be fine for summer play too. The women's crop top did not appeal to her for a few reasons, primarily dealing with the fact it is a crop top.the men's looked like it would be huge.

We initially discovered Storelli brand because we were looking for better leg guards for my son. We purchased them and were very pleased with the quality and the protection they provided. Clearly, they were designed with an athlete in mind and not just for over protective parents. They did not inhibit movement, keeps his shin guards in place, and have done a great job of protecting his legs. We started exploring more of the Storelli products and we decided it was worth the extra cost because of how much more physical the game was as he grows.....no shock. He loves all the gear including the head guard. He scrimmages 3x per week with the gear on and wears it for games. The most important thing about protective gear is that you wear it....and since this line of clothing does not restrict movement in any way, and looks good, he has no issues using it. We never know how much the protection worked when he falls or collides with a player, but we've been extremely satisfied with the Storelli line. As the weather begins to cool in the North East we will invest in the long sleeve version of this shirt. As for care....cold wash, air dry and it's good to go. Has held up very well since we wash after each summer practice.

Storelli makes the best protective gear and we are very loyal to this brand because its durability, awesome padding and design. My son (goalkeeper) has been wearing Storelli shorts for many years and we have finally expanded to include this. He did not like the version with sleeves - too constricting, difficult to get into, and much too hot. This item is the solution! Works great and he loves it. He is 5'11" with a very thin build. He wears the adult small and is very happy with the fit.

My 8yr old grandson wears this every game, 2 times a week. He plays goalie and he loves it. He says it helps it not hurt during catches. I have seen his confidence go up while wearing it. He says it helps cool him down. I think due to pulling the sweat off his skin and then the wind cooling the moisture.

Respecto al talle, fue bien en relación a la tabla de talles. Pero esperaba un poco más de espesor en las protecciones de las costillas. Creo que el precio es muy elevado respecto a la cantidad/calidad de protecciones. La tela de la remera parece muy buena, elástica y resistente.

Used for extra protection under karate uniform.

Ajustables al cuerpo, no te sientes agobiado al llevarla, no la notas, transpira muy bien, útil para esos días en que jugamos en verano.
