Good quality laces. The first few times I tied them they did feel waxy and made my fingers sticky, but that's worn off and now they just feel like solid, strong laces that stay tied. I have not noticed any waxy buildup on the eyelets. These are higher quality than any replacement laces I've found at shoe stores, and infinitely better than the lousy Kiwi brand replacement laces at drugstores. I have these laces on a pair of semi-casual leather shoes (Rockport Northfields) and they look very much like the original laces. They would be too thick for a formal dress shoe but they look perfect for these shoes.

I like waxed laces for boots. I like the wax to be similar to that of waxed laces for formal/"dress" shoes.I've purchased, "Waxed" boot laces from other places, they either contain very little wax, or don't seem waxed at all.Every so often, I find someplace that stocks proper waxed laces that I like. These are the laces I like. They are so waxy, they have a bit of white wax residue on them, and if you hold a portion of the lace out horizontal, it will stay horizontal and not droop down. These are not flaccid waxed laces.

As stated, these really work. Grip well, they hold up in heavy use. Worth the money.

length and thickness were perfect BUT, having said that they do come untied unless double knotted. Not a big deal but just an observation.

Eh.. First, these aren't cotton, so they feel cheap and don't hold a knot well, so they'll untie a lot. They are very thick, so you'll probably need a longer length than you think - mine are too short even though they're the same length as the laces they replaced. The wax came off in under a month. I wouldn't buy these again. I'll make sure I'm getting proper waxed cotton laces. The wax seems to have just slid right off the nylon or whatever these are made of. The synthetic material just has a cheap look and feel, as well.

Theses laces are very nice and hold well. I was pleasantly surprised when I received 2 sets of laces, now I have a spare set if needed. The price was nice too, even better deal than I expected.
