Needle Felting Kit and Felting Needles

I have been needle felting for many years, almost daily. I really didn't need this kit since I have tons of tools and needles, but for the price, I couldn't resist it, especially the cute box. Reading the other reviews, I don't understand all the criticism. The box is a classic vintage art box with a lovely Parisian theme - very artsy old school style. I absolutely love it. The tools and needles are a nice quality. The blue needle holder is designed for three thinner needles and they just happened to put three larger ones in it - not a big deal! Just put some thinner needles in it or take one or two of the thicker ones out. Just because it will hold 3 needles doesn't mean you have to put three in it. As for the finger protectors, yeah they suck but no one makes a decent pair of finger protectors for needle felting. I just wear a comfortable, form fitting, real leather glove on my left hand and I don't have to worry about accidently stabbing myself. I use wire armature, use multiple needles at once, manipulate felted areas using an awl, and do a lot of close trimming so I have an appreciation for all the tools this little kit provides. They are practical, functional, and the overall cost of the kit is less than what you would pay if bought everything separately.

I really like the box for this Seawhisper Needle Felting Sewing Kit. It contains some really cheap items like a Thimble Ring, that is much like a kids ring from a gum machine and an adequate set of Hand Pliers. The leather finger protectors are so small, a child may not be able to slip them on their fingers. The adequate felting needles and tool, which is plastic, as is the handle for the awl, will get the job done for me at the fly tying bench. The Tool Thread Scissors is also a plastic handled pair of adequate scissors, that I have already used to remove several heavy threads sticking out of my carpeting at the door going into my bathroom upstairs in the Cave. As a Mending Repair Craft Set it is OK and considering the price of $16.99 with free shipping for Amazon Prime members, it is a pretty good deal. At this time I will give it three stars, as I can't even use the finger protectors or the thimble ring as they are too small. The box and the rest of the kit are OK.

I received this today and am not real impressed with the set. The wood box is small and the finish isn't real nice you can see where glue got on the wood (the wood box is glued together) and the stain didn't soak in. the awl isn't as nice as it looks on the picture it is just a plastic handle. As for the price I think you would be better off getting the Estone 1 set needle felting starter kit for $3.89 it comes with the same awl, finger and thumb protectors & 7 felting needles with tube as this set as well as a single needle holder (wood) and a mat.( not a great mat but a mat) and is free shipping. The only thing is the Estone takes 17-28 days to deliver. The Seawhisper kit came in about a week. If you are a true crafter like I am you probably already have a small pliers (or some kind of pliers ) and thread nipper. That is just my thought on it. You can decide for yourself.

A great little kit that arrives fairly quickly! The finger covers are a lifesaver, and only need a little stretching/flexing to fit. The smell other reviewers have noticed is from the fact that it seems the scissors and pliers have been sprayed with a lubricant, rather than applied to joints only. Just wipe them with a tissue when you first open it, and you're all good.The needles are holding up very well, but I've already broken two of the three needles in the plastic holder. These appear to be glued in, and I can't replace them. The clippers are rather nice.

Very nice wooden box, and pretty little tools. I am giving it as a gift, and so have not used the items, nor do I have any experience felting, so I cannot tell you if the equipment is good quality but they look good to me.**NOTICE I wear a ladies size 8 glove(medium)- the fingers wouldn't even go over my 1st KNUCKLE> So beware if you are not a petite person.

daughter really likes it, but the one pen that has three needles broke during the first use very disappointing.The box is adorable and fits some of her additional tools.Addition: emailed the company and they are sending a replacement pen. Very nice, and a very quick response less than 24 hours on the reply from them.Will purchase from this company again!

Very nice. The tools are very helpful, and I find myself using them often. I like the multi-needle tool, but the needles can be difficult to replace if one breaks. The leather finger covers are nice, they fit me well. Over all, this is a great set of tools for anyone just starting.

This kit is great! It comes in a beautiful box! If I was not going to try felting. I would buy just to get the box all the stuff come in. It's just that beautiful! The stuff inside can be used by many people for crafting,sewing........... The box looks even more beautiful than the picture.
