TV Video System Converter PAL to NTSC For All Video Systems

This adapter will work to convert a 60Hz pal signal into a 60Hz NTSC signal. That being said, if you have dvd's from europe, It will not work with them, as they are a 50Hz signal and it won't convert them for some bizarre reason. This is why I initially boughttthe product so my daughter could watch the dvd collection we had amassed while living abroad, which it turned out to be useless for. However, if you have an xbox 360 from the pal region, it will work with this system, but you mist the the refresh rate to 60Hz on the xbox for it to work.

I'm not sure if I should expect better performance... I guess this is the best you can get from a signal converter. The image is far from clear, it's like looking at an old VHS movie in an old TV... I would rather recommend trashing your PAL DVD or whatever and buying a NTSC version instead of getting this converter.

Having been a sub-contracter in the Middle East, a musician and avid music listener, I bought many music video DVD concerts overseas. When I brought them back here with me, I found I couldn't watch them on my NTSC equipment, due to regional restrictions. Although I could watch them on my computer, this was very limiting because I wanted to play along with them in my recording studio to get the sensation of playing with bands. I haven't played with bands in many years but I never gave up my instruments and make my own songs, using the keyboard synthesizer to imitate a variety of instruments, my bass guitar and congas. With the video system converter, I could entertain myself with not only the music DVD,s I bought here in the states but also the ones I had bought in the Middle East.

This converter are meant for those old Tape movies in either PAL or NTSC where you can convert them to watch in your old TV which still runs 50hz. The Box already tells you it can only convert signal for 50Hz NTSC tv. But today all NTSC TV are 60Hz.The more expensive converters are able to convert income PAL 50hz to NTSC 60Hz, brands like Atlona.

Has some quality issues but atleast it gives color from pal to ntsc, for product this cheap, its ok.

Works well to allow me to watch PAL videos on my NTSC TV.

I was expecting more of this when I bought it from my brand new PS3 about 4 years ago, didnt work out that well
