Fantastic chocolate bitters....make for a great Manhattan !

We stumbled upon this being used in a cocktail at a fabulous little restaurant in Dupont Circle, and decided we needed to be able to recreate the drink at home. Thanks to the convenience of technology and poor impulse control, we ordered this on the spot. The flavoring is subtle but distinct, and lends itself particularly well to burboun/dark drinks. We've even used it to put a bit of a twist on a vodka cranberry, which was surprisingly tasty. I think in reality we needn't have ordered the two-pack, but since this will be a staple in our cabinet from now on I'm not too worried.

Take a 3/4 full bottle of bourbon and add 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 ounces of chocolate bitters, and fill the rest with brown sugar simple syrup. Leave it in the fridge for at least a week. But be careful as it's so delicious that you may drink it a little faster than planned.

Smells so good, taste just as great! I use this to make chocolate old fashions. It’s affordable and delicious.

Fee Brothers make great bitters. Usually less expensive than most and still great quality.

One of my friends RAVED about this bitter, and she made a Dark & Stormy with it..... I LOVE this bitter. Also in a Mexican Mule, or in an Old Fashioned. It's not a flavor that you'd expect to be any good but it really works. If you are looking to expand your horizon you should definitely try this. I'm very happy that I "had to" buy a 2 pack because the first one is almost gone. Writing this review has made me thirsty, I'm gonna make a drink :)
