My favorite Hue outdoor light fixture, very versatile!
I think I've bought 9 of these over the years. They are high-quality, easy to install, and look and work great. I've tried the other Econic models and this is the most versatile - I've even used it as an indoor ceiling light.

Amazing Lighting
Absolutely LOVE these lights!!! Purchased 3 of them, 2 for ether side of the garage and 1 for the front porch. Originally had Hue bulbs in all three locations to work with my Hue bridge and now with these stand alone units, they will light up the entire front of my house. They are bright as heck and look amazing, worth every penny!!!

Excellent value looks great!
I expect a lot from Hue and these lights delivered. The build quality is excellent and the light are extremely bright. They look great on and off. These really modernized our home. It should be noted no installation hardware what so ever is included. This comes with the light and nothing else. Not even wire nuts which I thought was cheap of Hue. If you are able to install these to your existing box using all your existing hardware and wire nuts you will be good to go. However I feel most people will need to buy something additional to install these so beware. I have installed these as wall lights and one as a kind of post light near my gate. Several people have asked about the lights inside. I have included photos of the LED panel inside the unit. Some people complained that these let in water or bugs. The last installation step clearly says to seal the units with caulk. I live in Florida with lots of bugs and water and I have had no issues. I sealed them around the edges with silicon caulk. Pros: Looks great on and off Build quality is excellent Easy to install with the right hardware Very bright and colors look great Cons: No installation hardware included Instructions could be better

Well made with Hue full range of Color
Moderate install, easy for most. This fixture is well made thus a little on the heavy side. A young person holding it above ones head no issue but for a 75+ senior maybe better to have it installed. I have had Hue system bulbs from day 1!. They pair quicker and more easily than Gen 1 bulbs. Hue is a great system, well supported and sophistication oh HUE-Labs etc.. Great Styling!

Great light if you live in the hue ecosystem
Like everyone else is saying, no hardware for install is included. I had to find some random stuff around the house to secure it to my front entry junction box. No need to beat that horse any more than it already has though. Hopefully Philips reads these and includes mounting hardware for a product at this premium price point. The light is robust, heavy metal and glass. It is bright. It links up to the Hue system easily. It looks really nice in the entry way, and really lights up my drive and pathway to the house. I have it set to sunset to sunrise, and it works flawlessly. With Hue, you are definitely paying a premium price, and there may be cheaper products that offer a similar solution, but if you live in the Hue world and like to easily automate your house, this is a great addition. I am slowly switching my property over to all Hue. For me, the product is worth the premium. Now please give us the .05 cents worth of nuts and bolts.

Wow, this is likely the coolest light I have ever seen in my life
Absolutely love every single thing about this, except for one (see below). Bought this for a ceiling light inside a new custom tile shower being built right now. I already have a nice incremental timer on the ceiling fan, and I wanted to tie this light into the same switch (fan on, this light on; fan off, this light off). Seemed to make sense. I guess the light will run a little longer than needed (e.g. 40 minutes) after finished with the bathroom, but it is low wattage LED, so that is OK. Much better than leaving fan and/or light on for hours and hours. Very nice that I can dim the light without needing a dimmer switch, because I haven't seen a combo timer/dimmer, and we prioritize the timer. My contractor went nuts when it arrived and we plugged it into an outlet to demonstrate. The only think I don't like: Amazon Alexa does not seem to recognize this as a color light. I can turn it on or off and dim it, but I can't change the color with Alexa. Not a huge deal, cuz I still have my phone app, but kind of annoying. Maybe they'll fix it with software updates eventually. P.S. software update and then it showed as a color light

Custom Lighting Value for Money
I recently replaced my old 1970s outdoor light fixtures with the Philips Hue Econic Down Outdoor Smart Wall Lights, and what a fantastic upgrade! These lights not only modernized the look of my home but also brought tons of functionality that my family loves. The color-changing feature is a huge hit, especially with my kids, who enjoy changing the colors through the Hue app. It's also super useful to pair them with Apple HomeKit automations. I’ve set them to turn on and off based on the time of day and have also incorporated other triggers, like motion or when someone arrives home, which adds a layer of convenience and security. The installation was simple, and once connected to the Hue Bridge, everything worked perfectly. The weatherproof design is great for outdoor use, and the E26 bulbs provide both warm white light and fun color-changing options. If you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor lighting with smart features, I highly recommend these!

I have a number of Philips Hue Lights and switches in my home. Including Philips Hue Bridge. They are expensive absolutely! However you get what you pay for. This fixture is a perfect example. Build quality is first class. Metal and glass constructed. This is a nice solid fixture. Minimal plastic inside. Stainless fasteners on the exterior housing. Nice black finish. Modern style. I purchased this for use as a wall mounted light. I wanted to update my homes house numbers. This fixture was a perfect fit. Allowing me to customize it with some steel plate riveted to the face. I now have bright visible house numbers. The hue app allows me to fully customize the light. Set auto timing with sunset and sunrise. Set colour and brightness. It is plenty bright!!!! Keep in mind the biggest downfall of the Philips Hue system is that they must have constant power. Meaning if you connect any of the hue products to a regular switched power source. The switch must be on and the light controlled remotely. Either with the app or a hue switch. I have this fixture wired to a outlet for constant power. The only way to control the light is with the App. I think it’s important to mention. If you purchase any hue products. Decided the best method of control. There are a couple options for controlling the light with replacement switches. I use the Philips brand remote switches directly overtop of the existing. Hardwired. Philips is coming out with a module that will allow existing homes simple basic light switches to control the lights.

GOOD: This is 3rd of the outdoor product line. So far this one adds to the delight I had with the spotlights and boler lights I got last year. For the $$$ spent to get a couple of these is money well spent for the following reasons: 1) awesome colors (vs another brand i tried); 2) Easy setup and integration with HomeKit 3) Quality 4) Aesthetically adds beauty to my front porch aka curb appeal even at night time. 5) Gets software upgrade from time to time. CONS: Expensive like all other HUE outdoor products and has never gone on sale.

I love this light, it looks incredibly modern and was super easy to setup with my existing Hue bridge. Love that I can program the on/off times for when I’m away from home. I’m also looking forward to using the endless color options for various holidays. Ultimately, I couldn’t be happier.

After seeing our sons purchase - we purchased 3 - 1 for above the garage, one for the front porch and one for the garden patio. They are modern, funky and have given the house a "face lift." look great. The light is super bright and does the job for us. The installation was (or I should say looked) quite easy (I'm saying that on behalf of others - I did nothing !!) but the finished product is 100 times nicer than I had imagined. They are hooked up to "Alexa". The light colour changing feature is a blast. I have read about the bugs in the lights but in my opinion, it will be worth the effort to clean as they look terrific.
