I'm really sorry to say this isn't the best final album to make. It's fine, with some good Mali grooves that you'll recognise. It has that Salif Keita sound. But somewhat inexplicably given his voice is so amazing, some tracks have a vocal treatment on or big echo chamber production. It's quite odd and very unnecessary.And the choice of collaborations doesn't always work. Angelique Kidjo out powers him, the rap of MHD is rather forgettable, Yemi Aldade offers a quite bland Afrobeats vocal and there's a track with Ladysmith Black Mambazo that just doesn't work, the vocals styles don't gel at all.In between are some good tracks, chugging beats, great mandingue guitar lines and gorgeous backing singers.One more album please?! Do this one without the big production, pick some unknown Malian singers.

Awful technical manipulation of Keita's vocals and poor choice of guest vocalists. Gives the album a feel of someone trying to be hip but not knowing how. And Salif Keita doesn't need to do so - listen to any of his excellent albums rather than this one.

A very competent later days record of Salif Keita. Buy his first album (black and white sleeve) and compare with this one - not but at all.
