DC Comics Superheroes: Superman Costume for Kids by Rubies, Boy's Small

My 5yo son absolutely loved this costume! He felt like a real superhero in it! It comes exactly as pictured/advertised with a tie on soft belt, and Velcro cape. It fits true to size, but my son is tall for his age (he wears 6Y-8Y) and has pretty big feet (size 13c) so the shoe covers did not cover his entire shoe (as pictured), but there is an elastic strap to put around their shoes so the costume lays flush on top of the shoes. The costume quality is nice, but somewhat thin which he didn’t mind as he is hot natured, and not a big fan of long sleeves. The colors are vibrant even after you wash it. My son said it was comfortable to wear. I highly recommend!

Got this for my older son. He really likes it. The cape is detachable is so is the belt. Fits well and good quality

The product information says the size small is size 4-6, but also says it is for ages 6-8, which I found very confusing since my son's clothing sizes have generally corresponded to his age. I ordered this for my son's 6th birthday, and he is still in size 5 jeans but is about ready to move to a 6, so I ordered the small since I was afraid the medium would be much too large. The small fits him, but just barely. The sleeves are plenty long enough, and the legs are long enough (though barely), but it looks too tight in the crotch area. But he says it feels okay and hasn't complained. In case this helps anyone else with sizes, my son weighs 44 pounds and is slender and about average height for his age.It seems reasonably well-made, but the first day he wore it his twin sister yanked the cape off him, tearing a few stitches loose and causing one of the velcro fasteners to fall off. She tried to hide the evidence in the speech therapist's trash can, but fortunately the velcro piece was rescued and I should be able to sew it back on.Overall, I'm satisfied with the costume because my son loves it and it should last him until his next growth spurt so hopefully we'll get a few months out of it. But I have a feeling I may be ordering another one soon in a size medium.

I got this for my 3 year old (size small) for Halloween. He LOVED it!A few things noted:- the elastic that is supposed to wrap around the shoes broke (on one side) before we even put it over his feet- The cape hangs pretty low in the back, and my son did not like the way the velcro felt against his neck in the front. It's not a great cape - we actually tossed it and used a higher quality one we had previously purchased.Overall though, this is just as described and fit my son perfectly. He is pretty large for his age (3 year old boy that wears 5T or xs). If your three year old is on the smaller size this might be a little large on them.He has since worn this to our Aquarium "Super Hero day" and to a friend's costume party. It's been a hit every time!

I got this for my friend's son for his 7th birthday and he absolutely LOVES it! He loves playing dress up (especially if we're talking about super hero dress up) and this costume is the perfect addition to his collection!He is an extremely small kid for his age. He literally still wears size 4T clothing. He's about 38 pounds and 42 inches tall, so I got him a size small. The small is actually a tiny bit big, but that's fine because he still has some room to grow into it.He's a pretty active kid and is always running around, doing flips etc., and the costume has held up well throughout his antics. I'd imagine that if the fit was more snug it might not be as "durable." The costume isn't super thick and is definitely a thin stretchy material. One thing to note, this costume does NOT come with any built in muscle. I absolutely didn't expect it to based on the price point. I actually think it's kind of nice without it, as the costume doesn't get as hot when he's running around and playing. The red boot portion of the costume is basically something that just covers your shoes. There are stirrup traps that will go under whatever shoes your child is wearing to keep the legs in place. Your child could wear any boot, sneaker, etc. underneath and the "shoe" portion of the red is a decent size and not too snug.Overall, I think this costume is a great value. There aren't many other super hero costumes you can find for such a great price. I highly recommend!

This costume has a fairly large snag right on the front, above the superman symbol. It was clearly returned damaged. It was stuffed back in the bag and torn. It should have been trashed instead of mailed back out. All that being said, my son is obsessed with it. He wore it the rest of the day. I just wish it didn’t start off irreparably damaged.

Glad to see young kids still into Superman.
