Plastic
I was surprised to find it made of plastic. Heavy duty plastic, but still plastic. Have only straightened two arrows with it, and so far seems to be working ok. Just very leery of how long it will hold up. Was anticipating better materials....

Low Quality Junk
Beware this is a very low quality product. Cheap micrometer - in my case came with loose screws and was falling apart in the shipping box. The design is very poor, and operation would be inconsistent at best which obviously doesn't fit the use model for the precision tool portrayed.1. The plastic rail and roller assembly is loose and inaccurate.2. The measurement arm/straightner is poorly constructed and wiggles about.3. It is impossible to get the micrometer mounted so that it would sit consistently on an arrow. This is not a "perfect" product and I would not recommend it for any application.

Best Tool for the Money
I've owned one of these for several years, and over than time, it has saved me a lot of arrows. Like any new tool, there is a learning curve, so follow the instructions, and avoid the urge to "get er done" too fast. In my opinion, this is the best tool for the money.

Apparently it does not have enough leverage to straighten Easton ...
Apparently it does not have enough leverage to straighten Easton #1820 Arrows while on a plastic table. Will try again on a solid surface.

Cheaply made
Cheap plastic rollers, the dial is nearly impossible to keep aligned on the arrow. You would be better off buying the 25.00 arrow spinner.
