It needs resetting from time to time which is irritating

This review is about Customer Service. I purchased the Vantrue Dash Cam GPS Receiver Module Mini USB Port Car Suction Cup February this year. The unit worked flawlessly up until November of this year. For whatever reasons it stopped working. I emailed their Customer Service advising them that it has stopped working and in less than 8 hours I got a response from "Echo" the CSR. With no questions asked, Echo, arranged shipping for a replacement item. So, have no fear when buying from Vantrue. They stand 100% behind their products. Would definitely buy from them again and would without hesitation or pause recommend them to a friend

Perhaps I watch too much TV because on lawyer shows they are always trying to discredit the evidence presented. I can, in my mind see the other lawyer saying, how do we really know this is the location, time, speed or direction that you were going at the time of the accident. Well, let me just stay the voices in my head are now quiet for that hopefully non occurring future event. This GPS device works fabulously and is flawless with an amazingly easy install and use. If you buy the camera I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t spring for the small additional price for the peace of mind this brings.

Not hard to install, suction cup works like a charm. Time will tell how well it holds when traveling on rough roads but should be ok.Checking GPS in my driveway, it was accurate within about six feet. So can't complain, it might get a bit more accurate when in the open without the trees blocking a sat or two.Only complaint is the Ventrue viewer that won't even load on my windows 10 PC. The .rar file is not recognized so it is totally worthless.For that reason, and only that reason, I have knocked it down to three stars.Might be some other software out there, but don't want to spend any money. I can always plug in the GPS coordinates to check location, and can view the files on window viewer. Just think if they advertise it is available for windows, it should be usable.Revised. Got the player software to load but the only feature that works is the actual video viewing. And although the GPS coordinates are shown on the video the player does not show the location on the map in the upper corner. And there are not options for picking a map or to turn it on. And the reason I only gave four stars is there are NO instructions to note how to turn on the map if you can even turn on the map.Update: Still going strong with no problems with the operation of the camera. So still four stars, but just a note to say it is still working great.

The N1 Pro dash cam is easy to use and records good quality footage. The GPS upgrade mount was easy to add as well. I was hoping it would display the name of street or route I was traveling on like my Garmin Nuvi navigation GPS does but I think I was expecting too much. In case of needing the captured footage I'm sure the longitude & latitude stamp will be good enough.

I bought this because the original part kept on falling off. The replacement part has a lot more suction power and even stayed on the windshield at over 115 degrees temperature.
