Kayak is absolutely amazing and easy to paddle, could go forever with it. It is really fast and turns nicely. Made really durable. It is really heavy. Delivery was absolutely great! Only good things to say about this!

I've had this kayak for over a year ( 2015 model ) which is the same minus the hatch cover and two rear rod holders . Mine is hidden oak and came from a local kayak store and not Amazon . This kayak is extremely stable and I stand regularly when the wind is 10mph or less or if the temperature is not below 45 . I limit myself to standing in these conditions so that I don't fall out of the boat and get hypothermia . This boat has a seat that I can fish out of for 7-8 hours and not be the least bit uncomfortable . The propel drive allows me to cruise at about 3 mph for long periods of time to really cover water . I have fished small lakes and large lakes and in rough water and never felt the least bit unsafe . For a sit on top , it allows for a very dry ride and hands free fishing . The reverse pedal allows reverse at almost the same speeds and comes in handy when fishing toward a wind blown bank to keep my position and distance the same . Because of this feature I have not bothered getting an anchor because it's not needed for my type of fishing .I use the kayak for photography also because it covers water quickly and silently without paddling and allows both hands to operate the camera with . Using the rudder lever for a quick course adjustment when tracking long distances in cross winds is so nice that it is invaluable . Some would say this is not true kayaking but it is great for what I do . Everything about the boat screams quality so if it seems high priced , compare it to what you get in other kayaks . The seat is elevated about 5" off the floor so even in a downpour of rain , one is never sitting in water ( major for me ) ! I use the kayak all year long in southwest Missouri and researched other kayaks for a long time before getting it . Search out you tube videos before buying a kayak . The hands free forward and reverse with rudder control sets this kayak apart and if weeds are a problem , the drive flips up and you can paddle this kayak easily . The only limitation I put on this kayak is for creek or small river use where portaging sometimes has to be done . One can leave the drive at home and paddle fine , but if this is what one does most of the time , save the money and get a paddle only kayak .
