Recently lost my old Bausch & Lomb Hastings Triplet after several decades. In searching for a replacement I found the B&L prices to be really high. This item had excellent reviews and was about 1/4 the B&L price, so I took a chance. The lens is a little larger than my old B&L with a smidge more distortion at the very edges, but it's certainly usable. The larger size and octagonal shape will take a bit of adjustment on my part, but nothing to worry about. And I really like the inclusion of a lanyard with a "quick release" instead of my old knotted paracord. Finally, the packaging was really nice. I hope to use this for a very long time.

A great little device, great quality and great price with hard case to keep it safe. No doubt will last a long time. Good optics.

Optically very good. Shape and texture makes it easy to hold and use. Pivot can be tightened if needed. Would have been a little better if it had anti-reflection coating but those with such coating are much more expensive and that doesn't make much difference in this application in most circumstances.

I bought a 10x Loupe to start with. Its a triplet. It does not have a light. This is small and takes some getting used to to actually read through. I use it for jewelry, reading names and makers marks. It's a good starter loupe. It comes in a zipped case, with a strap. Fits in the pocket

The triplet lens sets it apart from the cheaper ones. It does have a small “fisheye” effect to it but it’s not blurry and distorted. It’s crystal clear from edge to edge. Solid metal construction and the hexagon shape makes easy to hold on to. I’m really happy with it and I’m ordering the 20x version too

Using to read markings on electrical components. Images are very clear. Optic diameter gives good field of view. Housing fit and finish are good.

I bought this specifically for geological science reasons. The glass was clear and had little fringing towards the edge, and worked out just great for looking at close detail. If all you need is a loupe that will help you look at small details, then this is fine.However if you need a durable loupe for fieldwork, I would recommend looking at something else. The screw keeping the body closed came loose and made everything loose. Eventually after retightening the screw for a week, the screw was lost and I had to super glue it to last just a little more longer.Good lense. Poor construction (or rather, durability)
