How long will do these bulbs last?

Installed a couple dozen around the outside of my mom's house and within a year several of them are either burnt out or very dim compared to what they were when installed. Probably need to replace about 25% now.

Hi, just took one out of the box and measured. While they are the candelabra base, they are 4 inches in length from the tip of the bulb to the base. Not measuring the threads, the bulb is 3 1/2 inches. Also, the glass is not frosted. It is clear. Hope this helps!

Can these be used for a ceiling fan chandelier light?

Yes, but I would use warm white, 2700 kelvin

When these bulbs are turned off, do they look clear or do you see the orange filaments in each bulb?

When I look at bulbs when they are off, they are not clear, but the "orange" filament color is not as pronounced as in the promo pictures; in other word, it's not as orange as it looks, but you can see the filament.
