Handmade Viking Skane Pewter Extra Large Chain Pendant ~ Red Glass Exact Size Replica of the Swedish Skane Thor's Hammer The original Skane hammer of Thor was found in Skane in Sweden in 1877 and was made from silver about the year 1000. In the original Thor's hammer, the centre stone is missing, it might have been made of glass (like ours) because glass was of high value in the Viking period. This pendant has a red glass jewel. This amulet is hand crafted for us in lead-free pewter by a skilled craftsman on the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands. This Thor's hammer comes on a very elaborate Viking chain with a substantial 'lobster claw' fastener. The hammer is pewter, the dragon heads are pewter, the chain and twist ring are stainless steel.
