Finally, after 2 attempts at other brands, here is a high quality piece the that I have come to expect.

I purchased this to replace my Wolgang Puck lid which shattered when it hit my tile floor. I kept the knob so I could transfer it to a new lid. I wanted the set to remain "matched." This lid fits my saucepan perfectly. It does come with a neat knob of its own which can be twisted to allow steam to escape, a nice feature. I tried the twisting action and it was easy. Plus, it looks durable. I kept that knob just in case I should want to switch back. But, as I mentioned, I wanted to attach my Wolfgang Puck knob. I unscrewed the venting knob and attached my Wolgang Puck knob without a problem.

Too expensive for just a lid but it was the only one sold separately I could find. First off, it could fit better. There is 3/8" left to right movement when it is on. It is also next to impossible to see the adjustable valve settings at the handle. The fastener underneath holding the handle on corroded within a month. Why wasn't it made out of stainless steel? And the date stamped on the side indicates it was manufactured two years ago in 2013. Despite these misgivings, it still gets the job done.

Easy to wash, can be used on other pans of the same diameter.
