Heart Touching
This is a wonderful holiday story that is touching and heart warming. I like these simple tales in the comics, they compliment the show nicely.

I have always wanted more of Sunset Shimmer. Well, she is here and in a good way. The graphics and stories were beautiful and fun.

The story so hated people are still trying to fix it.
This story has become arguably the most well-known comic book in the MLP fanbase, for some reason. Unfortunately, it's notfor anything positive, it's because it's among the most hated storylines in the entire franchise (which is saying A LOT) but is it that bad?No, not really. Not as bad as the main comic series at its lowest at least. There tend to be two reasons why this story is hated. That it's a rehash of "Ponyville Confidental", or that it's just so plain mean-spirited that it makes the characters look like jerks. I think both reasons are overblown.Starting with the rehash argument. Yes, it's a rehash of the idea but it's done in a different setting with different consequences. In the episode, the CMC of the FiM universe published hurtful stories that embarrassed people, not much else. Here, the stories the CMC of the EqG universe don't just embarrass people, but they put the blame on someone else, causing a whole slew of other consequences to come from it.And as for the mean-spirited argument, I understand this one much more. The comic is marketed as a feel-good, happy Christmas story, and it is for the most part, but this story also has some real downer moments, like mental breakdowns and cyber-bullying. As someone who suffered from both of these things in school, I think the story handles these themes in reasonable enough ways; doesn't downplay the issue to make it a joke but also doesn't overblow it like some stories tend to do. And it still feels like a MLP story at heart, so themes of forgiveness, kindness and generosity are still front and center, making sure it never gets to depressing.Aside from that, the comic is quite good. Tony Fleecs's artwork tends to be...unique, but it's grown on me in a weird way (I would still prefer Kuusisto, Price, Meberson or Garbowska but Fleecs isn't as bad as I used to think so), the art as a whole is very lively, cute, bright, everything you'd want in a MLP comic. Another neat thing the comic does is world-building. While Equestria Girls isn't a high fantasy universe like FiM and thus world-building is limited, the story still does a good job in introducing new elements of the universe, such as fleshing out Sunset Shimmer's backstory to an extent, revealing new websites and even introduced the Windigos to the Equestria Girls universe.I used to dislike this story fr much the same reasons as everyone else, but upon a rereading of it, I've grown to appreciate it a lot more.Edit: Grammar

awesome!
Even though it's a short comic, I find it enjoyable to read! Heck, if Hasbro makes this a full-length film for TV and for the web loosely based on this comic (even with a few minor differences tweaked in), I would so totally watch it! :D
