This is a real surgical instrument
The o-ring bands that come with it are too big around, and they're all different sizes. They're supposed to all be the same size, and small enough to cut off circulation. Unfortunately these don't work, one can try to put two on at a time and it could work, but that poses a medical risk. This company needs to be held liable, and I imagine they be will soon. Ligator needs a 3/8 air tube and air pump to suck the tissue into the ligator before squeezing the trigger, engaging the ligator which pushes the bands off the ligator end, snapping down on the tissue to be removed. But there's no pump, & there's no hose. I hooked up aquarium hose, put it in my mouth and sucked the tissue into the end of the ligator. Air suction with hose is a necessity for this tool to work. Along with the small hole in the metal on the back of the ligator itself, which you have to hold shut with your finger to prevent air pressure loss after sucking the tissue in to the end of the ligator. You have to close the hole (with a finger worked for me) on the ligator shut before the suction starts, else it won't suck into the end of the ligator. Remember, this is sold to work on hemorrhoids. A hemorrhoid is a vein, if you make a mistake with a faulty band and a product with no instructions, nor essential parts included, that means you could nick a vein and unless you have blood transfusions ready to be administered, if you cut open a vein, or pop open a vein with a wrong sized band, it could be worrisome, to say the least. I'd suggest looking for "how to" videos regarding "hemorrhoid ligation" before attempting any operation with this instrument. It has helped me quite a lot, but the included bands are way too loose to completely cut off circulation, making them and this product a health hazard. Be careful, be mindful. Watch how-to's, inform yourself as much as possible regarding hemorrhoid ligation, and the actual procedure, prior to attempting. Good luck⚕️

The quality falls short, eg. the rubber band gets stuck after the cone. apply two new ones over it.
Works well, for the price, and plan to order a second.
