MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust Muffler 12770: 4"/4" Inlet/Outlet, 7x7x14" Round, Stainless Steel, Satin Finish

Magnaflow mufflers are awesome. They are a straight through pipe that's perforated in the muffler body packed with fiberglass and steel wool. No other muffler besides a straight pipe will give you less power loss. To get the sound quieter you will need to go with the largest bodies you can fit. Often times more than one.These get louder after a few months once the wading has been burned in. I dont buy these to be louder. I buy them for better flow. I fit as big and or as many as I can to bring the sound level down.I use this one in place of a DPF delete to bring the sound level down. I already have a 30 on the back. Sound a little quiet for now.I hope this info is helpful.The issue with all the magnaflow mufflers listed on Amazon is they are missing key info.This is what you need to know.This is a 7 round body 14" muffler body 20 inches overall. 4 in and 4 out center.

Shipped incredibly quick and installation was a breeze. Only needed two 4” clamps and it slide right in. Took 85% of the drone out of the straight pipe exhaust on my Ford 6.0L.

Go wanted to eliminate/reduce the droning of my exhaust on my diesle Silverado. This muffler did that.Truck is quite at idle, but still has a nice tone when given a little throttle.

I have a truck with this style and brand muffler, identical size and everything. Ordered this for my Dad for Christmas. My truck is decently loud good rumble. But mine is 15+ years old. Put it on my dads truck to replace a what we thought was a quiet muffler. This muffler I purchased is almost quieter than the what we took off. At idle it almost sounds stock. The only thing we gained was a slightly louder rumble in the cabin, which almost drones at highway speeds. I understand this will have a slight break In period, but its no where near as loud as the same make and size as what's on my truck. Nosie level is MAYBE a 3 out of 10. Mine is probably around 7 out of 10 loudness and mine doesn't drone. This muffler was meant more for a grandfathers truck who just wanted 4in exhaust but without the exterior noise, but I can imagine an old man complaining about the drone after a while of driving. I got this one cause dad said he always likes the sound and volume of my truck, since it was his truck years ago, and he put 200k on it over 10 years. At high idle on his current truck, it's mind bogglingly quiet, barely a turbo whistle. Hopefully it breaks in quick, and at the very least doubles on volume outside, not inside. But like I said earlier, it's of good build quality, too good in some ways.

This is a good quality muffler, I put it on my 12 valve Cummins truck which I originally had 4" straight pipe and it definitely made it quieter. Almost more so than I wanted. Very nice quiet ride inside the cab though. No drone noise at all to it. Truck is louder standing in front hearing the engine, than standing behind hearing the exhaust, typical 12 valve lol. Does have some good tone to it but not a whole lot. Of coarse I am used to having the straight pipe and big tip so if you are upgrading from Stock muffler you would notice more tone. Surprisingly my EGTs only jumped about 50-100 degrees, I was happy with that. Overall I am satisfied with the magnaflow muffler.
