Great book!
I am a special education teacher in an elementary classroom. This book reflected both my concerns about grading my students accurately and explaining their achievements to students, parents, general education teachers and administration. I have recommended the report card strategies to my superiors for possible implementation in my classroom. Thank you Ms. Jung.

I am so relieved!
I've been trying to finish reading this book for so long and just finished it today. I was absolutely determined to find some clarity to special ed. grading and I found it. There is a lot of wisdom in this book and I appreciate that.

Great resource for teachers!
Our school has shifted over to standards-based grading & have struggled with what that looks like for students with IEPs. This has been a GREAT resource for us!

Great teacher resource
Drs. Lee Ann Jung and Tom Guskey have written a very practical, yet well-grounded book on how to grade students with learning challenges. Their approach explains the thinking behind their suggestions, and it reminds us that both academic and "non-academic" factors are important in reporting progress to both parents and students. Drs. Jung and Guskey have contributed an important and usable framework that will assist teachers and administrators as we implement a more rigorous, standards-based curriculum for all our struggling students.
