Worked exactly as needed. I had to use the thinnest barbed key removal tool to get this done as nothing else would fit. These tools are made of harder materials than most keys, so all you have to do it get it in between the tumblers and your broken key, make sure the barbs are facing your key, then pull the key removal tool out while simultaneously trying to get the barbs to bite into the key by using diagonal force and leverage from your other hand. If you do it right, the barbs should bite into the key and yank it out. Took all of ten minutes to remove two broken keys, while the dealership wasn’t able to remove either and destroyed one of my key dust covers. Do yourself a favor and buy this cheap set. It takes a while to ship, but it cost less than the dealership (with the risk of them messing up your door lock) or having a locksmith come out to pull them. Heads up, I’d also recommend having a set of needle nose pliers to pull the rest of the broken key out once you have it out far enough.

Not as described in the photos- the wire tools don't have the heat-shrink rubber tubing or coating over the handles. These will not be easy or comfortable to grip and use. Also would be nice if the wires were straight.Still, I can add some heat-shrink over the handles myself, and it's a good value for the money.The handles on the pick-type extractors are absurdly small, and will make them much more difficult to use. However I actually value very compact tools, especially for something I will rarely use and will carry just in case, so for me this tradeoff is beneficial. But most people would prefer larger, longer handles.I'll update if and when I need to use these.

In 2019, I broke a key off in a fire safe and after Googling was unsuccessful in getting the key out with all of the suggestions that I found. Since the safe was empty I put it off to the side while I tried to figure out my next move.When I ran across these on Amazon, I figured it couldn't hurt to try. It took a bit of experimenting to find the right piece for the lock but once I did, it slide in and the barb hooked itself on the key and it easily slide out. I think it took me 30 seconds or so once I figured out which piece to use.It saved me the cost of either replacing the safe or hiring a locksmith to get it out.

I bought this tool kit to remove a broken key in my security door. It worked great!!!!!! I just saved a lot of money not having to get a locksmith to change the lock on this door. I tried to remove the key from the same side the key was broken. This didn't work. I went to the opposite side and pushed it through I was able to grab the broken key out with my fingers.

I dont care wat anyone here is saying,i had bought this n not going to lie it did took me a lil bit to get the other half of the key out the ignition n thats beacuse i was doing it my self but i did n save over 250$ on a orignal quote that i gotten from a locksmith. Just do ur research to know wat pins to hit n should be relative easier

Broke my key inside my car lock, like completely inside and couldn’t get it out with anything else. Took me a few tries but this worked like a charm. Never thought I’d need something like this but you’ll wish you had it when something like that happens. Now it’s in my toolbox forever and will be if these get lost.
