UPDATED REVIEW!!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATED REVIEW> so after the first pen i received failed miserably i decided to return it and try to order another one. this time the pen came perfectly!!!! it works and the blue ink is fantastic i love the fine ball point. Yes the pen part is still a little cheap but it works well andlooks awesome! I love my pen!I was so excited for this pen! i'm a huge harry potter fan and i wanted something i could carry in my purse that was useful and gave me an excuse to nerd out while still trying to be an adult.Looking at the wand/pen its actually really cool in person ! and the handle is pretty well made. the pen itself is just a plain cheap blue ink pen but the handle definitely makes up for that part. The super disappointing part is that the handle/pen top is too heavy for the pen that it falls off every time. there is absolutely no grip to hold the pen at all and no matter wich end you hold the pen from the cap falls off every time. this stinks because there is no way I can carry this pen in my purse without getting pen marks all over the inside from the top sliding off. I Attached a video so you all can see it for yourselves :( someone needs to make a better quality harry potter pen/wand because I would seriously pay way more money for a well made and functioning one.** Also I noticed that a lot of people were confused by the product photo thinking that it came with a wand and a pen or it came with two pen/wands. I thought it was two pen wands at first too but then realized the photo is showing the pen with the cap on and the pen with the cap off in one photo.

A wonderful addition that augments the seven editions books by J.K.Rowling books and eight movies. I "spell" Harry Potter to you
I couldn't resist this item. I love all seven movies (well, eight movies) and love the seven books even more than the movies, so it just made sense to get the bookmark and wand.In fact, I'm waving the wand right now, telling it how much YOU love Harry Potter as I wave it in your direction. That good feeling that just washed over your forehead? That was my spell, my good wishes for your life.If you're like me, you'll find more use for the bookmark than for the wand, but they're both wonderful. But, I will tell you one downside to the pen. It is not a balanced pen if you put the wand handle on the other end of the pen while you are writing with it. The "wand cap" weighs that end of the pen down a bit, which probably won't bother the younger people, but it is noticeable when I have it in my older (65) hand. One nice thing about this is that when the pen runs out of ink, you can use the "wand cap" on any other standard (usually cheap) stick pen.

Best gift ever
My daughter is a Harry Potter freak! She loves anything to do with it and was thrilled when we got this pen wand for her birthday.Because it is a pen, it’s a more practical gift than just a wand. She’s very happy with it. Score one for mom with this gift!!!

Great Wand!
This is a great product. I read many reviews and knew that we wouldn't be getting two pens, though that's what you see in the main picture. The bookmark is a nice bookmark and serves it purpose. The pen is pretty cool and my fiance loves it (she's the big harry potter fan). The only thing I would have like to see is the pen build a little nicer. I'm not talking about the base, which really gives the wand look. The pen itself seems to be nothing more than a brown bic ballpoint. Other than that I think the thing is pretty cool and would recommend it to any fan. Just note that you are not getting two wands, nor is the pen part of the wand super high quality.

They look great and the material seems to be strong
I bought the Harry Potter Wand Pen and the Dumbledore Wand Pen as a gift for my two friends who are big HP fans. They look great and the material seems to be strong. The actual wand part of the cap of the pen, which is nice because once the pen runs out of ink, I bet there are other pens that will be able to fit. It's practical and fun!

Maybe Skip This For Better Merch
I bought Harry's Wand and Hermione's Wand and they cost me about $9 each. This is a great idea, the execution is kind of blah. I bought two of these to go in a Harry Potter themed gift for someone and I am so glad I had other things to offer in here gift because these were disappointing...They look like a little thing your kids would try to sucker you in to at the school book fair for $5 or less, only in that case, at least some of it would go to the school... It is in a thin plastic hang sleeve bag and one of mine tore in shipping. I bought these as a gift, so the pen tearing out of the cheap plastic bag/sleeve, was a bad start. The backing is your bookmark, decent print quality, but it is exactly like a cardboard/card-stock backing that you could use for a bookmark...The pen is like a Bic pen, I kid you not, Like those sets of 10 pens with the white barrel and the black or blue tips and bottom so you know what color you are writing with that you can often get a pack of for $1 around back to school time.... Now Bic pens write nicely enough and are quality budget pens, but these "wands" set me back like $9 a piece, so I really don't want the weight and quality of a 10-20 cent pen.... The cap is more heavy weight and does a good impression of the wand handle, and really the only part of this that seems like it could be worth the price if the rest were not so cheap. I guess the only upside is, I am betting I can switch out the guts when she uses these pens up so she can keep using her pens. Similarities to the BICs should come in handy some how....The pens were okay, but I would not buy them again at anything over $5, and even at $5 I may still hesitate. So spending $18 on two of them was really disappointing.... Please just keep in mind that unless the receiver is a die-hard fan, and maybe even then, this could be a disappointing gift for that price.
