Very Nice Strings. Certainly Impressed.
I love 80/20 strings for their lively, clear sound, preferring them over phosphor bronzes, which last a little longer, but are more midrangey in character. Folks also say the “harmonic content” of PBs is “more complex,” but I actually feel 80/20s have more overtonal stuff going on. Whatever the case, 80/20s do have notably a shorter “fresh” life than PBs, even though I am not one of those folks with especially acidic hand sweat, but I’ve never worried about it because standard Martin 80/20s are pretty cheap. Anyway, I recently up and bought a new, Martin-style dreadnought after primarily playing electric for years (a total acoustic renaissance is happening in my house!), and I thought I’d treat the new baby with a special set of 80/20s after hacking off the Diaddario PBs the guitar came with. I chose these, though I love Diaddarios for my electrics and use them nearly exclusively and have for years. They make great strings as well. I typically use Martin’s for my acoustics, though. To the point, though: I must say these sound phenomenal, and after playing them A LOT for about three or four days—which is when untreated 80/20s start to lose their zing for me—they sound like I put them on two minutes ago. I have always steered clear of treated strings, but am impressed by and excited about these. They feel good and hold tune wonderfully. I like the zing of a fresh set of strings, especially for a big ol’ dread, though others prefer a more broken in tone. The set I have are 12s, as my days of effortlessly (and cluelessly) fingering the hell out of 13s on a long scale acoustic are gone, and they have a lot of body, zing, and ringing tone. Feel-wise they are about the same as regular Martin 80/20s, with the same tension and texture, so those claiming a softer feel might be a little too enamored by the concept of these, which is fine. The important thing is these strings seem to hold that fresh tone considerably longer. Not sure how long, but they haven’t dwindled even a tad yet, am already glad I gave these a try, despite their expensiveness relative to what I usually use. I just ordered a backup set, in fact. These strings are great. They also look mighty handsome—all new-looking despite having hours of play—on my spanking new dread Hope this helps.

Beautiful tone!
Love these strings! I have a beat up 25-year-old Ibanez acoustic/ electric and it makes this old guitar sound like a top-of-the-line Martin! Highly recommend!

My new Gold Standard
I've used Martin strings on my acoustics for 40+ years. They are my "benchmark" strings. The guitars might change but the strings never do. I judge the sound and play ability of all my new guitars based on Martin custom light strings. I live in a very old house, in a hot humid part of the country and my strings were getting tarnished and not lasting like I hoped they would. I figured I'd try these new Martin coated strings. They are great. Smooth playing and much longer lasting. They'll soon be on all 3 of my acoustics. Better priced than the rip-off guitar shop near me, and I don't have to deal with those pompous jerks that like to talk to everyone like they're stupid.

Good
Put these on a Taylor 325 ce. They actually sound pretty decent so far, and am hoping to get more life out of them than the elixirs. I’ll update in future

Sound great!
These strings sound great and feel great! I use them on a GPX-11e that I just got. I'd been using Elixirs on my other guitars, but decided to use what Martin recommends and has on from the factory. They lasted about 3 months. I probably could have gone longer, but had a weekend of 4 sets, so wanted them to be fresh.

Consistent, great sounding strings!
I've been using these strings for 5 years, and can confidently say the quality is consistent! I love the tone of the Phosphor Bronze Medium Lifespan 2.0 strings on my Martin D-35 and my Larrivee LV-09. As one who switches a ton between strumming/flatpicking and fingerstyle, I appreciate the balanced sound and feel of these strings over any others I've tried. The warmth of the lows is unmatched, and the clarity of the high end (even after playing them for 2 months) is excellent! I could not recommend these strings enough!

they're strings, and they work
These are some decent strings, the break in period is a little longer but once they're broken in they sound amazing.
