excellent alternative to the Buffy comforter
First, I own a full/queen size Buffy comforter. It's an excellent product … incredibly comfortable but it can run a bit warm for me. On a full XL bed for one person it can be a beast to manage -- it's HUGE. And I can only machine wash in an industrial-size washing machine. (I don't like duvet covers and when I bought the Buffy, they weren't recommended. ) It's fussy. But I love the idea of it and went looking for an alternative. Something a bit smaller, lighter and machine washable at home. This Bien Living duvet insert is it. I've used it almost every night for a month, and it's wonderful. It's light, but really effective at keeping me just warm enough. I sleep through the night without waking up sweating. (I don't use a duvet cover, and I do not use anything else when I sleep -- no other blankets or flat sheets.) The twin size is generous without dragging the floor. It washes like a dream -- the filling doesn't move or clump and it fluffs right back up after a tumble dry.I am so glad I found this! I'll use my Buffy if something Arctic l hits southern California, but the Bien Living duvet insert will definitely be my go-to for fall and winter.

Great Addition to sleep better!
A great addition to our tencel sheets. It is cool to the touch and very comforting. As far as the cooling effect and breathability, it does a good job of it. I run hot and paring it with the tencel sheets adds to the cooling factor. It is lightweight and easy to care for. We have washed it several times now and no stitching problems or shrinking after the initial wash. I will say it does run a little small. We have a king size bed and hope it was larger. If you have a queen size bed consider buying the King for it.

Nice down alternative comforter!
I was looking for a new comforter after using a down comforter for years. I first looked at the “Buffy” which was pretty pricey for a down alternative comforter so I did a bit of research and found a website that mentioned the Bien living comforter. I’m happy that I ended up getting the Bien. I was afraid it would be too hot and non-breathable but it’s not at all. I would definitely recommend it. I love in Detroit and so far (since it’s summer) it’s been fine. I guess I’ll have to see how it does come winter!

Soft and silky
I had purchased a similar tencel comfortor in the past and loved it and this one was no different. Such a luxurious and soft feel but stays nice and cool at night so is a much better choice than down. Great price for really great quality

Delightful
A wonderful duvet. Is light weight, but substantial enough to sleep really well under. It’s a smooth and comfortable fabric and with a duvet cover, it’s really easy to manage and keep fresh and clean. It’s a small luxury in my small home.

Comfortable and cooling
Works wonders for distributing heat. You cannot use a duvet cover or it will lose all cooling effect (I’ve tried it both ways). I definitely recommend as a down alternative for warm sleepers.

Its Actually 100% POLYESTER!!! INSIDE AND OUT!!!
Packaging label and Amazon details clearly state and I quote "LUXURIOUS QUALITY: Made of 100% Lyocell fabric shell filled with 50% Lyocell and 50% hollow siliconized hypoallergenic fiber." When I opened the packaging to read the care instructions on the label, I have to say I'm quite disappointed in finding a tag stating 100% microfiber polyester shell along with 100% polyester fiber fill!?!? (See attached pictures of packaging label vs material label) I never write reviews, good or bad, but this is false advertising and I feel obligated to warn others.

warm and cozy
Purchased this as an alternative to a down comforter. Rarely used but convenient for guests who have allergies. It's soft and light weight but warm. It's more expensive to purchase this material but I've found the tencel does not ball up or shift over time like spun polyester fillings. The cover is soft and silky to the touch.
