Take Negative Reviews With a Grain of Salt...
Not sure why this little beauty is getting such negative press. I initially put Drogon on my wishlist after the finale. Having read all the negative reviews, I chose not to get it, but I forgot to remove him from my wishlist. Fast forward to Christmas 2020. My son saw it on my wishlist and ordered it as a Christmas gift for me. When I unwrapped my dragon, I was expecting the worst. Fortunately, my expectations were far exceeded. I love my dragon! He is an unexpected delight. Is he huge? No, but he's just the size I was hoping for (but which at least one reviewer lamented was too small). For my purposes, he's perfectly sized. Is he a wondrous work of art? Aren't all dragons? He looks just like Drogon, and I think Drogon is absolutely beautiful. I appreciate the detail, considering the scale. He doesn't topple over on his wire stand, and i want to display him in flight, so that worked out great, for me. To me, he looks majestic. The posing options are pretty basic, but that's what I expected for the price. He's for display purposes, so I don't expect to be moving him around a whole lot.If you loved the design and aesthetic of the GoT dragons, you'll appreciate and enjoy this very good rendition of Drogon. I'm exceedingly happy I forgot to take him off my list. And it goes to show.....not all reviewers have the same expectations.Give Drogon a chance. You may be pleasantly surprised, like I was!

Great Dragon from McFarlane Toys
So... this fig has taken a lot of hits due to the "odd" molding of it's left wing. The pulled back placement of the left wing is only a problem if you don't know what you are purchasing. Ultimately, this dragon is not an articulated figure, it's more like a stature with minor articulation. As for the wing molding and placement, I'm fairly sure this body placement is meant to represent Drogon as he is standing on the rock behind Daenerys after the attack on the Lannister loot procession in the Season Seven episode "Spoils Of War." The wing is pulled back as if he is about to rain down dragon fire on the captured Lannister troops. Knowing this, I had no hesitation in my purchase and am satisfied to have this as a display / conversation piece.

Very good detail and realism
Very good detailing and realism. I like the option of either flying using a rod support hook to the base or sitting on the ground ability. One thing I was concerned about is the articulation of the left wing. It doesn't move like the right wing does. Sort of crooked at an odd angle and if turned hard enough the wing and socket stem pops out. It didn't break just pops back in place. Cannot be too rough with the articulation of any of these dragons. I have the other two as well. Be gentle with them otherwise you will end up super-gluing the wings permanently in place.

Pretty good for the price
For a dragon that’s about the price of a doll, it’s in pretty good condition! The eyes are a little weird, but the paint job everywhere else is pretty good. Keep in mind that this is marketed as a toy instead of a model, so I’m actually surprised they put as much detail as they did in the toy.A lot of people seem to complain about the articulation of the wings on Drogon, but I don’t see an issue with them. I managed to bend the joints so Drogon looks like he is in mid-flight, and I honestly think that looks better than him on the ground. The joints are hard to move, and the wings kept popping out of their sockets, but they are easy to pop back in. This toy was built to fall apart and come back together again. All in all, I really like my dragon! It is a great cheap model of Kahlessi’s full-grown babies.

Great dragon collectible.
Being a fan I had to have this. Awesome detail. Only thing that was wrong is that the head was detached during shipping. No problem just popped it back on and back in the box it goes. This guy does a great job with these figures. Been a fan for years of his work.

Great figure
I love how it looks. It is the perfect size that I was looking for. When adjusting the wings, one did pop off but it was easy to pop back on. I definitely plan on buy the other three for sure now!

There's a spear in my foot!
3 overall due to the way Drogon can be mounted. Every dragon has a hole in his chest to allow for the peg to give the dragon the impression of flight, even Drogon though his peg is much shorter. However, Drogon has a metal peg inserted into each foot so he can be mounted directly to the rock base. With the weird twist his left wing makes, it doesn't look right so I am going to have him flying like both versions of Viserion that I have. Much to my disappointment, the metal pegs in his feet are practically impossible to remove. I managed one, but the other is firmly set. I have tried to cut it, but no luck. I don't want to damage the leg or foot, so Drogon will look like he has a spear left from his battle with the Sons of The Harpy stuck in his foot.Looking at the upcoming release of Rhaegal supposedly coming in January 2020, I will likely run into the same issue with him. This is unfortunate, but I love the dragons so I will make due until I find a better way to remove the other post.
